A: Only if you have a Micro 4/3rds to Leica M Mount Adapter, and a basic Adapter will not communicate with the body. If you want that, you'll need one of the more expensive Adapters with electrical contacts. With so many Leica M mount lenses around, why would you want to use this one?

it is a great lens for the price. I use it with my Lumix Camera to take photos indoors w/o a flash. good results even at F1.7.

Nice lens! Very sharp. Light weight. Low cost

I love this thing. Small, light weight and buttery smooth shallow depth of field, (the reason I bought it). It is a fixed focal length, so it is limited in it's use. But I love it. Now I just need a long lens to round out the kit and I'm good. I purchased primarily for video, (4k with the Panasonic DMC G7), but I'm finding that I am shooting more stills than expected too.

My first mft lens and it has very fast auto focus on the Olympus e-p3. The negative is that it's too long to fit my camera and the lens in my pocket.

This Panasonic 25mm is a great addition to the G-series cameras - at such an incredible price! You will get decent bokeh effects when shooting subjects within 5-10 feet and exceptional bokeh when shooting within 4 feet.

Got this when i got an Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II.Lightweight, relatively compact, smooth quick precise auto-focus, VERY sharp. Coupled with the in-camera IS, fantastically sharp hand-held. Ran into another photographer one day; we both took snapshots of one another. Zoom in on the shot i took of him from about 5' and you can see the edges on his contact lenses. Hand held. That's pretty good, especially on a M4/3 16mp camera. (Don't want to post pictures of people without their permission or i'd post the shot) i don't really have any need for the f 1.4 version, this is plenty fast enough on the Olympus; excellent low light performance. A very respectable choice for street photography.Plastic? Non-issue on this lens as far as i'm concerned and happy with the light weight.Lens characteristics can subtly impact color rendition; i even like the color of this lens and can spot it in some of the sample photos posted here, as if camera settings were on 'vivid'. Personal pref. on that count over samples i've seen from the Panasonic 20mm pancake but to each their own.i'd also gotten the Olympus 12-40mm lens. Nice range and another programmable button and you can shift between manual/auto focus with a pull of the focus ring but heavier, bulkier, decidedly not as crisp, spending most of its life in the pouch it came with.i'm not nuts about the lens hood; it's deep and narrow and makes putting the lens cap back on a little more fiddly and it's length increases opportunity for knocking it against something. i would personally have preferred a collapsible rubber hood.

I was looking for an alternative to the 14-150 II that I currently use on my Olympus EM10 II while hashing / hiking, and decided to look at the prime offerings from both Olympus and Panasonic, primarily because most of the images I was taking appeared to be at the wide end of my lens' zoom range, and the main problem I was running into was excessive noise under low light conditions. I already have the Olympus 17mm F1.8, but that was a bit too wide for my needs, so I started looking at the 25mm primes. There is a significant cost different between the Panasonic 25mm F1.7 prime and the Olympus 25mm F1.8 prime, so I opted to try out the Panasonic. It's only been a short while, but so far I'm very happy with my choice. The T-Stop rating (according to the DXOMark website) is 2.0, which is the same as the Olympus 17mm F1.8 so I expected the same level of low light performance. So far my testing and use of the lens suggests that this is the case.

After reading several reviews I thought I would drop a few dollars on this nift fifty (by G7 standards). I am so glad I did and can't believe I didn't do it earlier. Magnificent clarity and very fast focus. No-brained purchase for those who don't have it yet.

The kit lens with the G7 does a nice job when there's ample light. The Lumix G 25mm f/1.7 lens opens the door to new possibilties in less than idea conditions. I've been photographing time lapse of moonflowers which open just after the sun sets. The sharpness and speed of this lens allows me to use a reasonable ISO of 800 and have the ability to capture the entire process of the flower blossoming in fading light. It's speed allows me to use fast shutter speeds when trying to capture blossoms in daylight when there are breezy conditions. I'm pleased that this kind of lens was in my price range. I believe it will a lens that I often use.
