Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the Lee Seven Five System compatible with the Lee Wide Angle Compendium?

A: No, these are different systems. The Lee Wide Angle Compendium hood has a filter holder (two slots) for 4 X 4 filters (100mm square). The Seven-6 system holds filters which are 75 X 90 mm. Lee Filters makes a hood specifically for the Seven5 system, see below.

Q: 2. The product foto and specs make clear that the kit includes lenses and a holder, but no protective cases or storage pouches for protection or transport. A customer foto submitted in the reviews shows protective cases and pouches. Im confused. Does the kit come with protective cases or do I buy these separately?

A: My kit came with a soft blue cloth cover that fits all the filters and folds. Easy to put in camera bag or pocket or whatever. The polarizer did come with a padded case. I did buy an extra filter carrier from B+ W for extra protection. If you are concerned I would buy an extra case. Perhaps call up and see what B H recommends.

Q: 3. Will a 250W Tungsten modeling light be too hot?

A: Technically that soft box is for strobe/flash only. You can use a strobe with a modeling light but I would not leave it on for long periods of time with one that is 250 watts. Or if your strobe allows you to dim the modeling lamp you should do that. For safety you need to keep an eye out that it does not get too hot.

Q: 4. Can you tell me the folded length of this ? , it needs to fit a case 24 long

A: Folded up it's 24 long

Q: 5. Do the Lee Seven5 filters have a different degree of hard and graduated transition from the full size Lee filters? Or, is it just the physical size of the Seven5's that is different? The reason I'm asking is that I have the full Lee kit in 100mm filters that I use with my Fuji system. It works fine. Is there any advantage/difference other than physical size?

A: I use the 100mm and Seven5 Lee grads, on full-frame DSLR and compact Four-Thirds cameras respectively. Comparing the 100mm and Seven5 grads side by side, I see that the Seven5 filters are not just the 100mm grads cut to a different size. Rather, the Seven5 filters are fully scaled down, both the size and the graduation pattern, to be appropriate to the smaller lenses that they'll typically be used on. So, comparing the fade zone in the graduation in the two filters in say 0.6 Soft specification, you see that the Seven5 fade zone is shorter than in the 100mm filters. In this way, presumably you should get a similar graduation effect in your images with both the larger lenses you'll typically be using with the 100mm filters, and the smaller lenses you'll typically be using with the Seven5 filters. This matches with my experience with the two systems.

Q: 6. Will this fit over a lowell pro light?

A: This particle LiteDome is made for strobes only and not hot lights. However, most modeling lights on strobe heads put out nearly the same wattage/heat as the Lowell Pro Light, so theoretically it could work. The only problem is there's not a speed ring made to mount to the Lowell Pro Light. You'd be better off using a Lowell Tota Light with the proper speed ring and a Lite Dome made for hot lights.

Q: 7. My camera has a fixed 49mm lens. Will this work? do I need an adapter?

A: Yes, you need a 49mm adapter. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/2YWAePT

Q: 8. What are the exact dimensions of the barrel connector?

A: The DC barrel on the IndiPRO Tools 450Wh USB-A, USB-C, and DC Barrel Quick Charger is a 2.5mm barrel connector.

Q: 9. Will this kit vignette on a Leica M with 21mm lens?

A: I purchased the Seven5 Deluxe Kit earlier this year for use with my Fuji X100T and it works great... I have a Leica MP (film) with no way to preview, so I didn't consider the filter system for that kit.Measurements: the depth of the adapter and filter holder is the same as a standard (not slim) filter - 5 mm (7.5 mm including the threads). The filter holder has space for two filters but it looks like you can remove one of the holders to make the overall depth smaller. The space between the filter holder inside edge is 66.9 mm at a height of 13 mm from the lens (15.5 mm if you include the threads).Sorry I could not be of more help... have fun if you go in that direction...

Q: 10. Can i use it with Godox sl-200 (200W) led light?

A: The Photoflex Medium LiteDome is designed for use with strobe or speed-light. I would recommend the Photoflex Medium SilverDome for use with continuous lights.a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/140665-REG/Photoflex_FV_SD2M_SilverDome_NXT_Medium_Softbox.html target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/140665-REG/Photoflex_FV_SD2M_SilverDome_NXT_Medium_Softbox.html/a
