  A: On Stage does not provide exact dimentions of the interior but it will be ABOUT 16" wide X 14" deep X 1.75"high.

  Q: 2. is the glass door shatter/theft-proof or is it just regular glass that can be easily smashed?

  A: The glass on the Ruggard EDC-80L Electronic Dry Cabinet (80L, Black) though of high durable quality, is not theft-proof.

  Q: 3. Does this rack come with screws to mount gear?

  A: I do not remember, but if money is any concern, I will note that I am still using this item and it is by far the most economical means to my desired end. I've used several racks, and (augmented with a bit of rudimentary carpentry) this is the value I have sought.

  A: According to Onstage, Desktop 43.25 x 23.5 with usable/open space depth of 13 7/8 . Top Shelf will be 38 7/8 x 16 7/8 .

  Q: 8. Have had this unit for about a week. Very nicely built unit but the inside has a "plastic" smell - almost like a styrofoam cup smell. Has anyone else had this and does it go away ? I am concerned it is off gassing that might get on lenses.

  A: The plastic smell in the Ruggard EDC-80L Electronic Dry Cabinet (80L, Black) BH #RUEDC80L is common and it goes away with time. You can keep the cabinet open for a couple of days and the smell would go away. The smell will not effect lenses.
