The Lectrosonics M2C Active Antenna Combiner is an ideal matching component to Lectrosonics digital transmitters. Up to eight transmitters can feed a single antenna to minimize cabling in multichannel systems. The inputs are isolated to minimize crosstalk and IM (intermodulation) between RF channels.

The overall architecture of the design provides excellent performance with low power consumption and heat buildup. Front-panel indicators display active status of RF inputs. A USB port on the front panel is provided for firmware updates.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this connect to my old UM200C transmitter?

A: No, this receiver is not compatible with the UM200C transmitter. The UM200C can be used with any 200 Series Lectrosonics receiver that operates within the same frequency group. The DCR822 receiver is compatible with D-Squared and Duet digital transmitters, including the DBu, DHu, DPr, DCHT, and M2T. There is backward compatibility with any Digital Hybrid wireless transmitters including the SM and SMWB series, WM, HM Series, MM400 Series, HHSeries, LT, LMb, UM400 Series, and SSM.

Q: 2. Can I use this system with the 1/4'' and 1/2'' antennas? I don't really need the very big antennas. Thank you

A: You can use B&H # SEHALFWAVEDQ for compatibility with the Sennheiser EW-D ASA.

Q: 3. How long of a cable run do you need to start thinking about using this?

A: Depends on the type of cable being used. Basic RG8X cable with passive antennas would be 25 feet. Higher quality cabling like RG213 or 9913 can be run up to 100 feet.

Q: 4. is this price for a pair or single

A: This antenna is a single unit.

Q: 5. What antennas (shark fins) are compatible for this? Especially if I used the new lectrosonics digital transmitters?

A: The Lectrosonics ALP500 LPDA Shark Fin Style Antenna for Fixed Indoor Installation (B&H # LEALP500) is compatible with all Lectrosonics wireless microphone and IFB systems. The Lectrosonics ALP620 Perforated LPDA Shark Fin Style Antenna (B&H # LEALP620) is for fixed installation indoors and outdoors, and it is compatible with all Lectrosonics wireless microphone and IFB systems. As another option, the RF Venue Diversity Fin Antenna with Stand Mount for Wireless Microphone Systems (B&H # RFDFIN) is compatible with all brands of wireless microphone and IEM systems.

Q: 6. Can it provide power for any passive antenna?

A: The Electro-Voice RFAMP Active RF Antenna Booster (470 to 960 MHz) is designed for use mainly with the Electro Voice RE3 UHF wireless microphone system. However, it could be used with other wireless systems' antennas.

Q: 7. Can I use IFBT4's with this unit? They transmit at 250mW. Wondering if this can attenuate or handle that kind of power.

A: The Lectrosonics M2C accepts a maximum input of 100 mW per port, so no, they would not be recommended for use together.

Q: 8. Is this the replacement for the ASA-214 which appears to have been discontinued?

A: Yes B&H # SEEWDASAQRS is the replacement.

Q: 9. Can this work with R- and Q-band receivers simultaneously? The 1/2 wave antenna only supports either R or Q band.

A: The Sennheiser EW-D ASA covers the Q, R, and S frequency ranges, from 470 to 694 MHz. The limiting factor in terms of frequency range would be the antenna used.

Q: 10. Would this connect with my old UM200C Transmitter?

A: Depending on the transmitter type, protocol and frequency, suggest calling Lectrosonics ph: +1 505 892-4501 See below for compatibility: DCR822 - Compact Digital Receiver Continuously tunable tracking filters covering 470.100 - 614.375 MHz Compatible with D2, Duet and Digital Hybrid Wireless® transmitters Lectrosonics DCR822 System Wireless Transmission Digital UHF Diversity True Diversity RF Frequency Band 470.1 to 614.375 MHz https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1597459-REG/lectrosonics_dcr822_compact_dual_channel_digital.html/accessories
