Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I would like to use it with iPhone 12 Pro plus Moment Anamorphic, Moment Thin case and Promist 67mm filter? it will balance flawlessly?

A: The Ronin SC is really designed for mirrorless cameras and may be overkill for an iPhone 12 Pro. We would recommend considering a gimbal that is geared toward smartphones, such as the OM 4, if you were looking to stay within the DJI product family.

Q: 2. Will this be compatible with a canon t6i?

A: As far as mountability, the Canon T6i is compatible, as far as controllability, the Canon T6i is not compatible with the DJI Ronin-SC Gimbal Stabilizer.

Q: 3. Will this work with the original Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 1080HD?

A: Yes 100%. The following unit has a payload support of 5.5 lbs. be mindful that the original design for this unit is for mirrorless units.

A: Box dimensions are as followed 15 x 13 x 3.75

Q: 8. Is this compatible with canon rebel t6i?

Q: 9. Will this work with Panasonic g7?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 10. what other gimbals would work with a canon 80D with a tamron 24-70 f2.8 g2?

A: The Ronin-S will work with the 80D and a Tamron 24-70mm F/2.8 Lens. The Ronin-S is designed to work with larger DSLR cameras and has an 8 pound load capacity. The Ronin-SC is aimed at smaller mirrorless cameras and is not an appropriate choice for the 80D. https://bhpho.to/2FJgGoG

This product is great and the service is fast along with the price being good and the chance to win 500 makes it the best.it is always nice to have the chance to win a prize and be compensated for a review, this product was purchased for a foster kid who is learning what they love in life so it is great to be able to possibly expand their visual media tool kit with the chance to grow it even more. Thank you B & H.

I originally purchased the Ronin S, then a week later the SC comes out. I waited to hear the reviews and saw that the SC had active track and some other bonuses besides it being lighter. The focus wheel I purchased separately from the Ronin S essential kit which I hung on to. The MCC cords for the S I just ate the cost vs sending it back with the Ronin S. I purchased the Ronin SC. The focus wheel works great with Sony. I did find it is a bit more tedious to balance than the Ronin S especially with a heavy lens, but it does balance. I had to not use the riser that comes with it because it wouldn't balance with it on. The active track works great. I've played with the other features but haven't really spent time filming or taking motion lapse. All in all I'm pleased with the purchase and can appreciate the compact size and weight.

When I first got it, the feel of this gimbal seems to be one step above the rest. I've had a Moza and a Weebill Lab gimbal and I got rid of them once I found out DJI was going to release the Ronin-SC. It does so much more than the other ones and does it so much better. The app is super stable, unlike previous apps I've experienced with gimbals. And to top it all off, this ActiveTrack works surprisingly well. I don't even need an assistant with me when I'm shooting reviews now.

I've tried the Ronin S and the Zhiyun Crane 2 and didn't like either. Both were way too heavy and difficult to get the hang of. I feel like I have way more control of this gimbal and it is much easier to work with once it's balanced. I needed something I could just throw in my backpack and this is small enough to do that. I also hated how with the Ronin S and Zhiyun Crane the axes you couldn't lock the axes. I am so happy that you can lock the axes with this gimbal and it is a huge benefit. If you are always on the go like me and don't have time to set up and balance every time you want to shoot this is perfect!

I am new to gimbal stabilizers and for me this is a great way to learn how to use this piece of tech in my workflow without making a huge investment. Zero issues so far. Some features available on the newer larger models would be nice like the micro adjustment dials for balancing but at twice the price, I am ok doing without.

I was very pleased with the ease of setup of the gimbal and the simplicity of use as well. I did utilize the focus ring and was able to use it without issue with the Fuji. I did not however connect the camera to the ronin. This seemed to cause weird things and I could never get the USB screen to work appropriately. Instead, I plugged in the fuji to a Ankar PD power pack that allowed me to run all day without changing batteries. I just slipped it in my pocket and held the cable in a way so as not to put strain on the motors. This worked great. I attempted to mount the phone on top of the camera as in the picture but the balance on that seemed problematic. Not saying it wasn't possible but it wasn't required for my purposes on this first film shoot with it. I would like to mount a screen but likely will get a rig mount so the screen can be mounted else where not on the gimbal. I will likely get a screen that allows external power AND it can power the camera. This would let me continue to roll all day without changing batteries as I do now but with a larger screen which I found from time to time was problematic especially when running manual focus. I did find that walking with the ronin is possible to do smooth but it does get heavy and by the end of the day I wasn't as smooth as early. I will likely mount it to either a shoulder rig to give me a break and lighten the load - especially when I add the screen.

All in all I'm quite happy with the product. I would like to see the ability to use the fancy features the ronin is capable of (even start stop would be appreciated) but for now its filling my needs and I can hope for firmware update on one or both ends to supply further features.

I've been using this since release with my Sony a6400. It handles the Sigma 16mm F/1.4 and the Sony 18mm-105mm F/4 very well when it comes to payload. If you tweak the settings some, you can get incredibly smooth video with almost no rolling shutter which are usually the down sides to using the 6400 and similar A6000 range cameras. I love my SC and just used it as part of filming a friend's wedding - easily worth it's price, especially given how much cheaper it is compared to some of the bigger gimbals!
