Q: 1. I just bought this filter and I experience something weird. When I turn it over the darker ND dot, the filter seems to go even darker and the photo look like a IR shot (all purple). Yesterday I set the filter at his darker point. I took a photo : f.14, 2.5s, iso 100. Then I turn further the filter and it became darker. So I change the time and I hand to go further as 60sec to get proper expose photo.. but in the viewfinder, it was all purple. Is that normal? I use it on Olympus em10II and 14-42 kit lens

A: The K&F Concept ND2-ND400 Blue Multi-Coated Variable ND Filter (58mm) is only rated to perform properly till 8.6 stops. Going beyond the specified maximum may degrade image quality. Additionally with higher levels of light reduction one runs the risk of IR pollution in the image. As you reduce visible light you are more suspect to this pollution, which could be why you are seeing the strange colors.

Q: 2. Doesn't the blue coating affect the hue of the picture? Is there a blue tint?

A: The blue coating on this filter has no negative effects in terms of the hue in your images.

Q: 3. Will this work with the Sony A7SIII?

A: This filter will work with any lens with a 67mm thread.

Q: 4. does it have a 67mm filter thread to stack another filter on top of it?

A: The K&F Concept ND2-ND400 Blue Multi-Coated Variable ND Filter (67mm) will be able hold another filter on top of it, the size of the filter to mount is 72MM.

Q: 5. Are the filters glass? or acrylic/plastic?

A: The filters on the K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter are made of glass.

Q: 6. The filter factor is not listed here. On the K&F website, it is listed as 1.3 stops. You're welcome?

A: The K&F Concept Nano-X Pro High Definition Circular Polarizing Filter (${Size}) does have a filter factor of 1.3 stops.

Q: 7. Is there a lens cap for K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter (49mm)?

A: The back of the filter is 49mm but the front is 52mm so you can use this 52mm lens cap on it. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/807037-REG/Sensei_lc52_52mm_Center_Pinch_Snap_On.html

Q: 8. Will my lens cap fit on this filter? The lens is a Lumix 12-35 micro 4/3.

A: The front thread for this K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter (58mm) would actually be 62mm, so your current cap will not fit.

Q: 9. What does the "green" do?

A: The K&F Concept Nano-X ND2-ND32 Green Multicoated Variable ND Filter's coating is used to neutralize color temperature deviations that occur under certain lighting conditions. This helps with color balance, reducing light loss, and managing reflections that would affect the contrast of the overall image.

Q: 10. Can you please confirm this will fit on the Tamron 17-28 f/2.8 Di III RXD lens. Will the 72mm front thread accept a 2nd filter?

A: The Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD Lens for Sony E has 67mm front focus threads. As such, the K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter (67mm) would be compatible to fit the front filter threads on the Tamron 17-28mm lens. A 72mm filter would not directly fit on the front of the Tamron 17-28mm lens without the use of a step-up ring such as the Sensei 67-72mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring, B&H # SESUR6772.

Ordered this filter last minute, right before 4/8/24 eclipse. B&H came through. Filter was delivered quickly and worked like a charm.

This magnetic series of filters is really great. The magnetism is strong. It will definitely stay put all day. The lens cap is the cherry on top. I have yet to try other cpl filters to compare the actual function of the filter, but so far it works great. It comes in an individual case to store.

I got this to pair with a Tokina 14-20mm f/2.0 EF-S lens. It does a great job and the lens sharpness doesn't suffer noticeably from the extra glass. One downside is that if there is a strong light source like the sun in the frame, it causes some nasty circular flares in the image, but this is a problem with every other filter I've used as well, so I'm not sure I'd ding it a star for that.

I own the Kase Revolution Pro ND filter kit and this UV filter is made to work with the kit. Like all the Kase products I own, this is well made and easy to attach to the lens. I will be buying more of these for the rest of my lens.

I purchased a Nikon 500mm f5.6 and this filter to protect it. This filter does not interfere with the lens hood and the lens cap snaps into it fine. I liked the high light transmissiveness for the price.

The K&F Concept Nano-X Filters are well made. I've purchased two 67 mm and one 77 mm and all three fit my lenses perfectly. Optically they have no practical effect on image resolution or light transmission and produce no added glare. These are well-made, reasonably priced filters with exceptional optical performance. It's amazing how much multi-coating technology has improved in the last decade and K & F seems to be fully competitive with the best filters available anywhere.
