Covering short- to medium-telephoto focal lengths, the black XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 OIS II from FUJIFILM is a 76-350mm-equivalent zoom suitable for working with a range of distance subjects, from portraits to sports. Its optical design includes one aspherical element and one extra-low dispersion element, which help to reduce a variety of aberrations in order to produce a high degree of sharpness, clarity, and color accuracy. A Super EBC coating has also been applied to individual elements to control flare and ghosting for increased contrast when working in strong lighting conditions. Complementing the optical design is a 3.5 stop-effective image stabilization system, which minimizes the appearance of camera shake to benefit shooting handheld. Additionally, a stepping AF motor provides fast and quiet focusing performance and a rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Telephoto zoom is designed for FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 76-350mm equivalent focal length range.

One extra-low dispersion element is used to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to produce high clarity and color fidelity throughout the zoom range.

One aspherical element controls distortion and spherical aberrations, which helps to improve sharpness and realize more accurate rendering.

Super EBC coating has been applied to individual elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.

Stepping motor affords fast and quiet autofocus performance that benefits both stills and video applications.

Optical image stabilization minimizes the appearance of camera shake by 3.5 stops to better enable handheld shooting with slower shutter speeds.

Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing out-of-focus quality to benefit the use of selective focus and shallow depth of field techniques.

My experience with the X-T30 has been wonderful thus far. As a former X100S owner and Canon FF shooter, Im thrilled with the speed and immediacy of the performance, married to the color quality and image precision of Fuji. I have added the exterior grip and soft release button for a much improved ergonomic experience. If you do this, note that the best cases for your camera will be the X-T1-2-3- line, as the grip makes the body almost equal to that camera.

I've been an avid photographer since the early 70s, so I love how Fujifilm has captured that vintage 35mm look. The film simulation, which lets you shoot in black and white and sepia as well as color, really adds to the retro feel and gives you additional creative things you can try. It's a well made camera for the price. I just wish they had placed the "Q" menu button in a different spot, where you thumb doesn't naturally go when you grip the camera. But the virtues of the X-T30 outweigh this one inconvenience.

This setup turned out to be very hard to find (camera was on back order for 2 months). When it finally arrived B&H overnighted it to me straightaway and everything is as described.

I've been using this camera for the past two weeks. It has almost the same specification and quality of the X-T3, but in a smaller frame.

I am relatively new to the photography world and honestly my photography vocabulary is not yet developed.

What I can say about this camera is that I absolutely love it.

Even as a new and amateur photographer, I found that locating menu options and settings is very easy and intuitive. I have rarely referenced the camera's manual but have taken a crash course on the camera basics (aperture, ISO and shutter speed).

The 18-55mm kit lens appears to exceed my expectations of picture quality which to me are sharpness and color. Basically the pictures I get out of the x-t30 are far superior to any smartphone I've owned so far.

My only concern is that I find it difficult to hold the camera because it is small. I have mitigated this issue by buying a 3rd party grip which has completely resolved this small ergonomics challenge.

I am looking forward to growing and learning more about photography.

I am unable to attach photos to this review because it keeps saying error every time I try to upload it. Help!!

I wanted something smaller than my fuji x-H1 for my travel photography needs. Its compact size and capabilities drew me to the camera. After doing quite a bit of research I decided to buy the X-T30. It offers quite a bit of bang for the buck. I took it on a recent trip and the photos captured didn't disappoint. I've shot Nikon for years and recently began shooting Fuji due to the awesome color rendition. I find that I rarely have to post process the fuji raw files.
