I have had this lens for over a year now. This is the one that seems to stay on the GX8! Fast and very sharp, very good in low light. I have lots of m4/3 lenses lumix and Sigma and this is my favorite. Recommend it HIGHLY. 5

Whether wide open at 1.4, or stomped down, this lens is incredibly sharp. I mainly shoot landscape and this is really the only lens I pack. Bokeh is beautiful, too. And macro! All around a great lens. Could be a tad bit cheaper considering the 50 1.4 is a fraction of the price. Overall though, build quality is top notch. It pairs really well with the GH5. 5

Not only are the images out of this lens fantastic, but you can now turn this focus-by-wire lens into a cinema style lens through a menu setting in your GH6 or G9 II by activating what's called linear focus which also allows you to assign how many degrees you can rotate the focus dial for repeatable focus. I'll be reaching for this lens more than my cinema style lenses. 5

I own the Mark 1 version of this lens and use it with the Panasonic GH5 and GH6. The GH6 supports linear focus with this lens if you upgrade the firmware (on both the camera and the lens, to 2.0 and 1.2 respectively). That is my reasoning for upgrading, this is a solid prime with beautiful bokeh and is tack sharp even wide open! The focus ring is roughly 64.5 mm in diameter for anyone looking to use it with a seamless rubber gear for video. 5

I've owned the initial version and loved it. This new version is amazing! I use it with my GX85 witch has the high speed auto focus. This new lens is compatible with the high speed auto focus. Really sharp glass. Plus dust and water resistant. I was hesitant because of the cost, but I'm very pleased with this lens. It's on my camera all the time. 5

Great image quality, sharp and contrasty even at f1.4 Silky smooth focus ring, with the much more desirable rubber finish. Seems to produce slightly warmer colours, compared to the the Lumix lenses, though it might be artificially done in software in camera, I don't have Olympus body to compare. The new added weather seal helps a bit to justify the hefty investment compared to the 25 f1.7 5
