This battery offers a 1400mAh capacity and 7.2V of output power. The battery is designed for use in the OEM Canon charger and features a safety fuse to prevent overcharging.

A: At this time the iFootage Electric Ray E1 is set up for use only on specific Canon, Nikon and Sony cameras. Using it with the Lanparte LP-E17 is unknown and unsupported. Proceed at your own recognizance.

Having used acceptable generic replacements for many months, it got a bit frustrating how quickly they'd run down - without warning. To be honest, while the Canon OEM batteries do (seem) to last longer, I can't be entirely sure how much longer ... but it's the fact that my M6ii body can detect the remaining power and show me the battery icon with missing segments, and ultimately, flash red before dying completely. This feature was worth buying 1 extra Canon brand battery to swap between. I still have the 2 cheap generic replacements for further backup/emergency. But no longer having to guess how much battery is left when using the OEM batteries. 5

I think it's a good idea to get original Canon batteries; so I bought 2 extra. These are actually better than some say, but having one or two extra is not a bad idea. 5
