A: The new 2021 will have Thunderbolt4 as opposed to USB-C only which will allow you to drive up to a 6K screen. Also, it includes a new ultra wide camera for video calls. Finally, the processor is the same M1 chipset processor as in the new Macbooks. So this 2021 version will be much more powerful than its predecessor. If you are using for on the go editing, the new 2021 will be great.

I've had iPads since the first one came out, and this is replacing a version 2. All the positive reviews I've seen have proven true in my experience thus far. I downsized the memory from my older model with 512 gb to 256 gb this time since I have the Apple One package with plenty of storage in iCloud. I can't say that I am using the iPad as a laptop replacement, but it surely handles a lot of the things that used to be possible only on a desktop! I'd be very comfortable using this iPad on a business trip. And the screen display is fantastic. 5

If you like the iPad you will love this iteration. The M1 processor noticeably improves performance. Apps like google earth and the photographers ephemeris load quickly and have a snappy feel that wasn't present on my prior iPad. I feel like we've reached the point that developers don't have many excuses for not including full versions of their software on mobile platforms. That the iPad version of Adobe Photoshop still isn't as capable as the desktop version doesn't make much sense to me anymore. Though that's a criticism of Adobe and not Apple. To sum up, if you're in the market for a new iPad or tablet computer, go with the pro. 5

Love this iPad. Apps load blazing fast. My original iPad 12.9" Smart Keyboard case from Apple worked great with the iPad as well. The screen is the show stopper here. Really brings the OLED iPhone experience to an iPad...finally. 5
