Countryman I2 Acoustic Guitar Microphone Kit With 3.5mm Connector (black)
- Product Code: ga72798

The black I2 Acoustic Guitar Microphone Kit with 3.5mm Connector from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.
The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and positions the acoustic guitar mount and pickup on the center hole of this instrument. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a 3.5mm connector for direct connection to Toa WM-370, WM-4310, WM-5320, and WM-5325 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.
Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.
Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.
The hypercardioid polar pattern has a narrower pickup pattern in its front than the cardioid polar pattern. It offers better rejection of ambient noise and the working distance is about twice that of the omni polar pattern. The hypercardioid has a small "pickup lobe" directly behind the microphone and exhibits maximum rejection areas behind and to the sides (about 60 degrees away from the rear of the microphone on either side) of the mic. The hypercardioid pattern works best when the loudest unwanted sounds—like speakers—can be positioned in these nulls.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Does it need phantom power ?
A: The RDE Lavalier Microphone is an electret condenser and does require power; phantom power or bias voltage depending on the input device.
Q: 2. Does this mic work with the Tascam DR-10L Pro recorder?
A: The Sennheiser MKE Essential Omnidirectional Microphone with 3.5mm Connector is compatible with the Tascam DR-10L Pro Field Recorder.
Q: 3. I assume this is a set of 2. Is it possible to get both in one color?
A: These Countryman tie clips are currently only sold in this configuration.
Q: 4. How does this compare to the ME 2-II microphone (which came with my G4 wireless system)? The original mic has gone bad so I need to replace it and am trying to determine which mic is best for documentary filmmaking between this one, ME2 and MKE2 (which is really outside of my budget currently).
A: This mic is designed for use on the stage and has some features particular to that aplication, like more flexable cords, higher SPL levels and sweat restance. For shooting documentary footage the ME-2 would be a better choice.
Q: 5. How can I wire this instead of using it wirelessly? I know this thing needs power and it won't work when I plug it into a camera with an adapter.
A: You can use the Rode MiCon 2 Connector for Rode MiCon Microphones (B&H # ROMICON2 / MFR # MICON-2) which will allow you to connect the Rode lavalier mic directly to a 3.5mm TRS mic input on a DSLR or mirrorless camera or a portable recorder and use plug-in power supplied by the input of the camera or recorder.
Q: 6. would this cpu cooler fit the 775 motherboard socket?
A: No, I'm sorry but this cooler will not fit that socket type.
Q: 7. Is this the same mic that comes with the RodeLink?
A: Yes it is, but the Lavalier included with the Filmmaker Kit is already fitted with the Micon 1 connector. You will need to buy that separately with this stand-alone model.
Q: 8. Will this work into a traditional mixer? If so, is the array then managed via a PC?
A: The Voice Tracker I features a standard analog mic output jack on a 1/8 connection. This can be used directly with a computer mic input or via USB with the optional adapter. ( included free with this package ).The unit can be used with a mixer as well by using an adapter such as the Kopul XLR to Mini adapter. The functionality of the mic is handled automatically and via physical switches on the unit itself. No software is offered or required.
Q: 9. will the Acoustic Magic Voice Tracker I Array Microphone record to a Zoom H4N Pro if connected directly to it? If so, what is the proper connection set up to make this work. I connected mine to the H4N but there was a volume problem, I am afraid I will need to purchase a special connector for the xlr input and I do not know which one I will need. thank you.
A: Connect this microphone via the recorder's 3.5mm Mini stereo phone jack.
Q: 10. I am interested in your B&H # ACVTIAM. I have already installed the Pyle Home Audio PAMP1000 160 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier. Question #1 is there a way to make this product wireless and if not are there adapters to convert it from the 1/8 plug to those on the amplifier? Thanks
A: This microphone must be connected to a component that offers a microphone input and supplies plug-in power for the microphone. The Pyle Audio amplifier supplies neither.
