The black I2 Acoustic Guitar Microphone Kit with LEMO 3-Pin Connector from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.

The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and positions the acoustic guitar mount and pickup on the center hole of this instrument. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a LEMO 3-pin connector for direct connection to WisyCom MTP30, MTP40, MTP40S, MTP41, and MTP41S wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.

The hypercardioid polar pattern has a narrower pickup pattern in its front than the cardioid polar pattern. It offers better rejection of ambient noise and the working distance is about twice that of the omni polar pattern. The hypercardioid has a small "pickup lobe" directly behind the microphone and exhibits maximum rejection areas behind and to the sides (about 60 degrees away from the rear of the microphone on either side) of the mic. The hypercardioid pattern works best when the loudest unwanted sounds—like speakers—can be positioned in these nulls.

Q: 1. Could I use this cable to sync timecode from my Atomos Shogun (that has a LEMO port) out to my Sound Devices MixPre-3 via the MixPre-3's Aux-in port? I have a Sony A7III that's generating the timecode out to the Shogun. So, essentially, this cable would connect to the Atomos Shogun's LEMO port and the Shogun would be sending the timecode out to the MixPre-3's 3.5mm AUX-IN. And if so, will recording be triggered from camera, to shogun, to the mixpre? I know the Sony will trigger the shogun, but can the shogun trigger the mixpre with the aforementioned setup? Thanks!

A: This cable is not appropriate for the Shogun and MixPre. To connect the Shogun to the MixPre, you would want to connect the HDMI output of the Shogun to the Micro-HDMI connection on the MixPre. This will take the HDMI TC from the Sony to the recorder. The MixPre must be set in HDMI TC Mode and will stop and start recording from the camera triggering it.

Q: 2. Based on the direction of the tentacle, is this version a female 5-pin LEMO? I'm hoping to use to power my nucleus nano from my handle

A: The LEMO connection on this cable is is male, and it is designed for time code to be sent from a Tenacle Sync TC generator to a device with 5-Pin female TC in.

Q: 3. Can I use this cable to jam my Denecke SB-3 with my Sound Devices 788T?

A: No this is for iOS devices. You need the single ring 1/8 connector. You need to cables to do it. This one a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=laird+digital+cinema+sd-tcd2-01&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ps target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=laird+digital+cinema+sd-tcd2-01&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ps/a and this one. a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/889382-REG/psc_fpsc1082_1_bnc_1_8_mini.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/889382-REG/psc_fpsc1082_1_bnc_1_8_mini.html/aThats how we did it.

Q: 4. What is the polarity of the LEMO connector? Pin 1 hot?

A: Pin one of the Kondor Blue D-Tap to LEMO 0B-Type 2-Pin Male Power Cable (Raven Black) is ground and pin 2 is hot.

Q: 5. Will this power the Red Komodo and Cine 7?

A: The Red Komodo and the SmallHD Cine 7 both have a 2-pin LEMO power connector, so in theory it should work. However with out testing I cannot confirm. This cable is described to power an optional Redrock microRemote.

Q: 6. Will this work with a Z Cam E2 S6?

A: Yes, the Z-Cam E2 S6 has a DC 12V input that uses a 2-pin LEMO.

Q: 7. I’m confused if this is the cable to jam sync a Tentacle with a Sound Devices 633, or is it the C02?

A: The two cables are directional so it depends on which device you are using to generate timecode and which is receiving timecode. You'll see an arrow on the white band near the 3.5mm connector that shows the direction of signal flow for each cable. The C03 is for sending timecode from the 633 into a Tentacle Sync and the C02 is for sending timecode from a Tentacle Sync into the 633.

Q: 8. whenever i am using this tl45,the ambience noise is too much so what can i do to reduce the feedback or howling that is producing?

A: Do not stand in front of the speaker while the miocrophone is live. It also sounds as if the mic gain may be too high. Try lowering it so the backgrounf noise fade away and you are left with the louder speaking voice.

Q: 9. Can I plug a tram into this and use it with the recorder

A: The Tentacle Sync 3-Pin LEMO to 3.5mm Mini Jack Microphone Adapter can be used with a Tram TR50 Lavalier Microphone that is equipped with a 3-pin LEMO female connector to connect it to the input of a recorder that has a locking 3.5mm TRS input such as Tascam DR-10L Portable Audio Recorder or a Zoom F2 Portable Field Recorder.

Q: 10. Can this power the came tv astral follow focus motor wich has 6pin lemo input?

A: No, this will not work on a 6-pin LEMO input since this cable is a 2-pin LEMO.
