The light beige Countryman E6X Directional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 3.5mm locking Connector for Azden Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6X earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Azden 15BT and 35BT wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

A: Hi, if you are hoping to use the VideoMic Me mounted on-camera you would be better off using the VideoMicro, which is essentially the same mic capsule and acoustics, but with the shockmount, form factor and standard 3.5mm TRS output designed for use on cameras.

I bought this mic for my recent trip to the Galapagos Islands and I am glad to have done so. Originally I was considering buying a new additional stereo mic to compliment my Rode NTG3 for the expansive sounds of surf, birds and who knows what else the Galapagos offers. Upon further research I determined that this approach would involve way too much equipment and hassle. The SMX-30 had just been introduced and it looked like a good product so I bought it with the furry windscreen. This is a very good microphone. The shotgun capsule compares very favorable to my Rode Video Mic Pro with a little different sound in the treble, where the Rode seems to have a more pronounced bass. They are both good, just different. The SMX-30 also has a very nice X Y stereo capsule that creates a wonderful expansive ambience that was exactly what I was looking for and all in one small package. The suspension system works well and the furry cover is effective up until about 25 mph winds. There is a very neat feature that lets the mic power on and off as the camera is powered on and off. This means watching the mic batteries is not necessary, one less thing to worry about.The only possible problem that might arise is when pressing your face against the back of a DSLR style camera, the back of the mic suspension system may come in contact with your forehead. This happened to me once and it is not a big issue, just something to be aware of. I am very happy with this purchase and it is now my go to mic for my GH4. 5

Needed to start filming events we host at the local American Legion in Newhall California. Called in to order an Audio Technica AT8024 but it was on back order. The B&H Tech suggested the Azden SMX-30; after only 1 event I really love it. Just got a Canon D7 MKii and the next day I shot an event. Check out my YouTude channel under BlueDrumStudio, and please forgive the focus issues as this was the very first time I used a DSLR. I didn't even change the camera preamp from AUTO, so what you are hearing is the Azden with the -10dDB setting while I walked in from of the live band. 5

This is a perfect little mic for a videographer who uses DSLR and mirrorless cameras for their content gathering. I used it with a Sony A7III and an older Canon 60D. My shoot was outside at a hockey tournament, and the wind was really blowing. I used the Azden SWS-30 Furry Windshield, and it worked great. I switched on the low end frequency filter and got rid of the rumbling that was still making it's way through the windscreen. Audio turned out wonderful. I highly recommend this microphone. 5

I did a few quick audio tests with this mic. I had someone run dialogue while the mic was sitting in the hot shoe, on top of the camera. This mic is leaps and bounds better then the Rhode mic we were using before. When this mic is in stereo mode it picks up everything!! That will be great for some situations, for dialogue that we were running that day, mono was the way to go. I will say that the mic did and will pick up the sound of me racking focus. That is when it is sitting on the hot shoe. Rarely would I try and run audio this way though. The only other thing about this mic is that it's a bit tinny when you first hear the audio and not always super warm. But I increased the bass boost in post and messed with the pan a little bit and was very happy with the results. In the end, you want a pretty solid run and gun mic, this is a good choice. But don't expect pro level results from it. Also the cord from the mic to the camera is a bit on the short side, get something to extend that! 5

I needed a mic for my Nikon D750 and I was considering the well known Rode VMP and then came across this, the Azden SMX-30. I didn't know Azden all that well but took a chance on the mic because it had such a cool look and has the versatility of stereo or mono. I do not regret this decision one bit!! This mic has fantastic sound. Having two mics in one is such a great feature. The build quality is excellent too. It has the 10 year warranty in case anything ever goes wrong - I feel confident this mic will last a me a long time. I am very happy with his purchase. 5
