The Mars 400 from Hollyland is an entry-level 1080p60 transmitter/receiver system featuring a 400' line-of-sight transmission range. In a compact design, the transmitter offers an HDMI input and HDMI loop output, and the receiver has two HDMI outputs, allowing you to connect to up to two displays.

Additionally, an optional second receiver can be linked up to the transmitter to accept the signal at the same time. The transmitter is also capable of sending the signal over built-in Wi-Fi to up to four mobile devices, whether it is also sending to a receiver at the time or not. This will allow different people/departments on the set to view the image being captured. The image is sent to the HollyView app, which is compatible with iOS and Android.

Both the transmitter and receiver have a built-in L-series battery plate and also support DC power. Batteries are sold separately. One power adapter is included to get you started on the receiver end. Both units also have an OLED display that confirms the resolution, transmission channel, signal strength, and other details. The display also shows a low-battery warning when there are about 30 minutes of runtime left.

One of the features of the Mars 400 system is a channel scan function. Via the OLED display, you can see the status of each selectable transmission channel in the environment you're in. This feature lets you know which channels are good and which have interference. Another feature is scene mode selection, which allows you to select from three different scene modes as best suits your environment. The three modes let you prioritize between video quality, low latency, or a balance between the two.

The transmitter and receiver are each under 4.5 x 2.5" and have a robust yet lightweight metal housing.

A: To transmit video, the MARS 400S uses a 5Ghz frequency band, with up to 400 feet (120m) line-of-sight range. According to Hollyland, the latency is less than 0.1 second.

Q: 4. can these be used for live streaming? Will latency be an issue?

A: This is a point to point transmission system. It does not have live streaming built in.

Q: 5. Does it do cross conversion? can I input SDI on the TX and HDMI on the RX? or vice versa?

A: Actually, I just tried it and seems like it does work.

Q: 6. Can mars 400 link with mars 300?

A: We are not aware of there being cross compatibility between the 400 and 300 series. Also we only sell these products as transmitter and receiver pairs.

A: Yes, this should be possible.

A: Yes it is. The MCS 8M has both SDI and HDMI inputs.

A: Hi Pesi, No that's not fit. The Mars 400S can be power by: a) Sony NPF batteries b) use the DC 2.1 power adapter that comes along c) Use D-TAP to DC 2.1 Power cable to connect the Mars 400S to the V-mount batteries

excelente wireless no problem for now ! setup on good cables they works perfect I projecting the signal to analog with a box converter is perfect. to a projector also i setup my camera sony with cdi cable out to transmitter and the receiver with hdmi cable no problem. (about 150 feet ) Im Happy . 5
