The light beige Countryman E6i Directional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and TA4F Connector for Line 6 Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6i earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Line 6 TBP12 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would I be able to use this on my BMPCC 6k Pro?

A: Yes, you can use the the line-to-mic attenuator but it's not necessary since the BMPCC 6k Pro accepts line level audio through the 3.5mm inputs.

Q: 2. How long will this mic be on backorder?

A: Expected availability: May 23 2016

Q: 3. Is the item compatible with the Sony A7s?

A: Yes it is. The Sony A7s has a 1/8 inch mic level input. The Kopul attenuator would be used coming out of a line level source.

Q: 4. Hello when attached to a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with wind screen for back facing camera will the mic be seen in the shot since the camera is right next to the rode mic when mounted

A: It's hard to say without having tried it myself. I have used it with an iPhone 6. I'm sure you could adjust the fluffy part of the wind screen in such a way that its outside the field of view.

Q: 5. Does this cable work for zoom f6 too??

A: Hi Ching. This cable attenuates the signal 35dB, so it might attenuate the signal a bit more than desired. We have a couple of cables specifically for the Zoom H6, the LN2MIC-ZOOMH6 and LN2MIC-ZMH6-MON. These Zoom H6-specific cables attenuate 25dB rather than 35dB. The LN2MIC-TASDR100 cable will work, but you might have to raise the audio level up on your camera if the audio level is a bit low. Thank you!

Q: 6. Is this cable compatible with the Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera?

A: This splitter cable is compatible with the Black Magic Micro Cinema Camera, if you do require a female headphone tap as well as an output from a digital recorder. But be aware that the camera can accept a line level signal into the 3.5mm input, so the attentuation to mic level is not necessary.

Q: 7. There are Kopul ACH4-25MON and Kopul ACDR-35. One has 25dB of Attenuation and the other one has 35dB of Attenuation. Please clarify: When to choose the first one and when the second one?

A: Both cables will provide sufficient attenuation for use padding a line level output signal from a device such as a portable audio recorder in order to match the mic level input on a camera or device with a 3.5mm mic input. -25 dB is typically enough, but -35 dB will provide even more attenuation. A higher level of attenuation would be needed if the -25 dB attenuation level is still overloading the mic input or if more headroom is desired.

Q: 8. Can I use this to add a headphone jack to my Panasonic G7 to monitor audio?

A: Yes you can. That is a cable to go from line level to mic level. Used so you can plug the output of a line level recorder out. Into a camera at mic level in. With a headphone jack.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with android devices?

A: You can use the Kopul ACH4-25MON with an Android device but you will need to use it with a 3.5mm TRRS adapter to convert the plug from 3.5mm TRS to TRRS since smartphones have a 3.5mm TRRS connector. The Rode SC4 3.5mm TRS Female to 3.5mm Right-Angle TRRS Male Adapter Cable for Smartphones (B&H # ROSC4). Another option would be to use a similar cable that already has a TRRS connector such as the Movo Photo TCB2 XLR Female Microphone to 3.5mm TRRS Male Smartphone Adapter (B&H # MOTCB2) or the MXL Female XLR to 3.5mm Male TRRS and 3.5mm Female TRS Multimedia Adapter Cable (B&H # MXMMCABLE1).

Q: 10. Will this work while filming in Facebook Live? Streaming live video?

A: No reason why it shouldn't. Just give facebook live access to your microphone.
