The tan Countryman E6i Directional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and TA4F Connector for Shure Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6i earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Shure AD1, ADX1, AXT100TA4F, GLXD1, PGXD1, QLXD1, and ULXD1 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How would this perform as a headset mic for football/basketball playcallers? Is the isolation pretty good?

A: This product works well for this application, providing decent off-axis rejection of unwanted ambient sound. Keeping your gain settings a little lower on the bodypack will also help reduce ambient bleed. In particularly loud environments and in sports applications, it may also be helpful to mute or turn off your bodypack between announcements or calls to avoid unwanted speech or noise transmissions between uses.

Q: 2. Can I wear headphones with this mic if I need to,?

A: Yes, you can wear headphones while using the WH-20 headset mic. It's a matter of which style headphones are most comfortable for you while wearing the mic. In-ear style headphones will most likely be the easiest to use.

Q: 3. Several people have asked the question about using on a dslr. I would love to use this on a dslr because it has a headphone monitor and line out. My dslr doesn't have a headphone out. This device would almost solve the audio monitoring issue that most cheap dslr's have( no headphone jack out). I know that it wouldn't be the gain controlled audio from the camera but just the raw audio coming from the mic but it is better than nothing. So, It seems like this mic would work just fine for dslr, but I wanted to be 100% sure if the jack on the mic that is TRRS(the kind with the extra ring in the connector, not just a regular TRS jack) would work with a dslr camera? Does the mic need the extra ring for power?

A: Hi, you won't be able to plug this mic (with TRRS connection) into a DSLR (with TRS input). You could use the SC3 adaptor, but you will have nowhere to mount the mic to the camera. It really has only been designed for smartphones, not DSLR cameras.

Q: 4. I have a behringer q1202 usb mixer. Will this headset mic work with the XLR connector plugged in directly?

A: Yes, the WH20 with the XLR connector will work with your Q1202. It is a dynamic mic, so you do not use Phantom Power.

Q: 5. i saw that there was a mounting bracket could that be used on a dslr?

A: I think you may be talking about the rode video mic micro.

Q: 6. Do these earphones come bluetooth-ready, or do I have to purchase the bluetooth cable-adapter separately?

A: These are not Bluetooth compatibe. They are connected with a 3.5mm cable.

Q: 7. Is there a wireless system that works with this mic that I could buy AFTER buying this mic? I don't have the budget for a wireless system and I want to start with this then buy the receiver and transmitter later.

A: B&H stocks an adapter cable, Shure part # WA310 that is a plug and play solution for connecting the WH20 XLR to a Shure wireless body pack transmitter. If you wish to build your own, the connector for Shure body packs is a switchcraft TA4F. Wiring diagrams are available on Shure's website.

Q: 8. Will it fit on a galaxy s6 active

A: Yes

Q: 9. Will the RDE VideoMic Me iPhone Shotgun Mic work on an Apple iPod Touch?

A: Yes.

Q: 10. XLR connector is male or female?

A: The XLR connection on this headset is Male.
