The black B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sensitivity, with Detachable LEMO 3-Pin Connector for WisyCom Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is the least sensitive mic and a good choice for instrument applications, opera, or where the microphone will be positioned very near the mouth. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a LEMO 3-pin connector for direct connection to WisyCom MTP30, MTP40, MTP40S, MTP41, and MTP41S wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I know it says the connection type is 1/8 for Sennheiser transmitters, however will this work in any 1/8 and 3.5mm connection? Unfortunately B&H doesn't have a white Tram TR50 with a standard non-locking 1/8 option. Thanks!

A: Yes, I use it on my TASCAM DR-07 MKII.

Q: 2. Will this work with the Rodelink Filmmaker?

A: Unfortunately at this time, we are only able to confirm proper operation with the Rode brand lavaliers.

Q: 3. Is this mic waterproof or water resistant?

A: This rugged and reliable microphone is not rated for water resistance.

Q: 4. Can this tram mic be used by Deity Connect system?

A: Yes it can.

Q: 5. does this work with the latest Sony UWP-D27's UTX-B40 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter?

A: Yes, the Tram TR50 Omni Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector for Sony UTX-B03 Transmitter is also compatible for use with the Sony UTX-B40 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter.

Q: 6. If you are doing a sit down interview, is there an advantage to using this wired, XLR version of the tram mic over the wireless version with the sennheiser g3/g4? Is the sound quality better with the wired mic?

A: Yes there is an advantage. ALL wireless systems, regardless if price, process the audio by compressing (at Transmitter) and expanding (at Receiver). This process adversely affects audio. A wired mic, such as the Tram provides better sound quality and 100% reliability (as long as it stays plugged in).

Q: 7. Can I use this with a Zoom H5? If so how?

A: This version of the Tram TR50 is intended for use with a Sennheiser wireless transmitter. If you will be using the mic with a Sennheiser transmitter and also want to be able to connect it directly to an XLR input on the H5, you can use the Tram TR79+ Power Supply for TR50 with Sennheiser EW Series Wireless Connection and Positive Bias Wiring - Battery & Phantom (B&H # TRTR79SETP) which would allow you to power the mic using either an LR44 battery or using phantom power from the H5 (with battery removed) or the Ambient Recording EMP3.5 Electret Microphone Power Adapter for Sennheiser evolution Microphones (B&H # AMEMP3.5) which works with phantom power only. If you do not need a TR50 that can be used with a Sennheiser wireless mic system, then the Tram TR50 Omnidirectional Lavalier Condenser Microphone with XLR Connector - Black (B&H # TRTR50BPS) would be a much better option since it has a hardwired XLR connector and can be connected directly to a mic input on the H5, or connected directly to a mixer or amplifier capable of supplying phantom power. Please contact us by phone or through live chat if you would like further assistance.

Q: 8. Will this lock into the Sony UWP-D11's - URX-P03 receiver?

A: This kit is for Sennheiser only. This is a similar kit for SONY: Tram TR50 - Omnidirectional Lavalier Condenser Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sony UWP Transmitters (Black) B&H # TRTR50BSETM

Q: 9. is it wired for new lectrosonics SMQv transmitters?

A: The Tram TR50 is available with connectors for most common wireless transmitters. This particular version features an XLR connector for use with field recorders and similar devices that support XLR connection.

Q: 10. How long is the cable and will this Tram TR50 Mic work directly in a camcorder such as a Sony Z-190 — with a longer XLR cable attached?

A: The cable for the TR50 is 4.5 feet long. The mic can be connected directly to the Sony camcorder or used with an additional XLR cable to extend the length. The mic requires 12 to 48V phantom power and the camera will supply it.

Saramonic has one of the best portable Mic/Lavalier setups for filming on the go. Long battery life, self-charging case makes this a no-brainer. Easy to use, a bright display means you'll have what you need when setting up audio.

Have loved getting to use these new transmitters and receiver for the past two weeks. They are super easy to use, and offer easily enough battery life to tackle a full day shoot. I love the ease of being able to turn any of the units off, and have them pair up immediately once they power back on.

More than that there is so much in this package! I was amazed at all the gear that comes with these guys for so cheap. Not only can you snag 2 transmitters and 1 receiver for $300 (good luck finding a deal like that with Sennheiser or Rode), but the added bonus of having a charging case, a hard case for all the extras, and two lav mics makes this kit a great buy. Yeah you might not get the range of other top end audio kits, but this is more than perfect for a conference room (and even a church from my tests). Audio is super crisp, and hasn’t failed me yet in the field.

My only minor complaint is that the windscreens don’t stay locked onto the transmitter mics very well. They fall off pretty much instantly if anything grazes them. But running the mics without the screens wasn’t much of an issue for me. I mostly use the lav mics anyways.

I have been hoping for a reasonably cost 2 wireless transmitter to one receiver for a while now. This is the one you want. I agree with one reviewer that the power cables and extra Lavalieres should be able to be carried in the box, but that's not a reason to buy something else. This is an excellent set.

Remember how expensive and clunky the UHF systems were 15 years ago? This is not that. The charging case is absolutely brilliant, if likely unnecessary because these little guys have a charge that lasts forever. Sound is clear and clean. Wish I could find a cable to dual male mini-XLR's. It would be more useful if the displays offered a real VU meter instead of a goofy waveform that only tells you it's hearing something.

I purchased these on sale here at B&H and now regret not purchasing more of them. Line output is just a tiny bit lower (0.5-1db) than the Rode Go I have but still more than enough to use without a problem.

I actually like them more than the Rode Go I have because the weight distribution when hanging on a t-shirt keeps the on transmitter mic facing up.

The lavaliere mics work great. and sound just as good as any other wireless mics I have ever used.

I definitely recommend these.

Amazing lav mic set for the price as we all know. But one thing that we did npt expect is the convenience of having 2 transmitters and a receiver in a neat little charging box. We find ourselves use these set way more than our Sennheiser set now. Convenient, easy to use, as audio quality just as good. Highly recommended.

I love this box. It keeps the devices in charge. Operation is very easy. In sereo I wished one could select that one mic is on left the other on right channel. The only selection is mono or stereo. But that doesn't minimize my score. Some mounting options would be cool as well. Currently velcro is the way to hold it in position.

I am using these microphones with OBS Studio software to produce YouTube videos. The setup of the microphones was very intuitive and easy and the OBS software recognized them immediately. The sound quality is quite good and exceeds that of my pair of $800 matched corded microphones.
