A: It would depend on the hood you use. It might make some of the controls harder to access in the corners of the screen. Currently we are not recommending an LCD hood for the FP camera.

A: Per Sigma: The fp has features that support full-fledged video shooting, and Timecode is one of them. It is used to synchronize the time of multi-camera shots. Q: 6. Which log profile does this camera encode in?

A: It uses the Sigma Log Picture Profile.

Q: 7. Can you playback CDNG in camera? Both from external SSD and the SD card

A: The Sigma fp 2.0 firmware enabled the ability to do in-camera CDNG playback. Also, we haven’t heard of anyone having issues with using a SSD and playing back.

Q: 8. How well does the camera accept lens conversions? Are there image issues like fringing, cropping, Softness, incompatibilities, etc with certain lens mounts or converters that youve noticed?

A: We've had no reports of any issues regarding fringing, cropping, softness or any incompatibilities when adapting other brands of lenses to the Sigma fp.

Q: 9. How long is is?

A: The Sigma Strap for fp Camera is approxemelty 32 inches.

Q: 10. It says there is a hot shoe for a flash, but I don't see it in any of the illustrations. What am I missing? Also, only 1/30 for a sync speed, really??!!

A: Hi, the top sync speed is 1/30 second. There is an adapter included that attaches to the left side of the camera and has a hot shoe for flash photography.

Here is some footage I took using the Teal and Orange colour profile inside a Cathedral on Sunday the 15th December. Watch carefully as focus changes. I think I had the F stop at around 5 or 6 and 30 FPS. The video and audio is straight from the camera. Many seem turned off by the design approach of this camera...stripped to the bare essentials, electronic shutter only, heavy video emphasis. I rented this camera to try it out, and was blown away by the still image quality, especially in low-light situations. Definitely not a sports or wildlife camera, but if your subject is slow-moving or stationary, you'll love the image quality and the color rendition. The bundled 45mm lens is great, small and light, and super-sharp resolution. The menu system is straightforward and I found it intuitive. The camera and lens are a great small combo, easy to grab on your way out the door and carry with you. It's not for everyone, but if you're on the fence, rent one and see for yourself. 5

I've come from using a Fuji X-Pro 2 and I am really enjoying the differences that the Sigma FP presents. Many positive things have been said about the video side of this device, but I mainly use it for stills. It's not a perfect camera, my Fuji is faster to use, I miss the view finder, I hate that it can't take fast pictures. And yet, despite these flaws I love it. The image quality is amazing, the colours are really nice. I love how modular the camera is. The 45mm kit lens is great, and it makes for a really small package for travel. If you are going to use larger lenses, get a cage. The Small Rig ones are very affordable and nice. When travelling I love that I can charge the camera with my USB C phone charger. It's a simple thing, but it makes the world of difference. I have no regrets, buy it! 5

Love it! I have been looking for a good cinema camera and this is the one for me. After trying all other flavors of cinema cameras, this is a keeper. I have adapted all of my vintage glass to this camera and they work great. 5
