The 9' Manfrotto Short Wind-Up Stand is a black steel stand with geared column and one leveling leg. Rugged and heavy duty. It combines the strength, stability and portability that is required by today's demanding professionals. Like all Manfrotto Cine Style stands, it features Universal Mounts which have both a 1-1/8" and 5/8" female socket as well as a 5/8" male stud.

Q: 8. Is there a manual on how to put on the wheels?

A: The Avenger Wind-Up 39 Stand with Braked Wheels (Chrome-plated, 12') does not come with a manual. To put the wheels on the stand first unscrew the nut from the wheel then slide hex shaped nut in allotted foot space of stand leg. Use the Allen wrench to hold the wheel into place while spinning the wheel until secure. Do this for all three legs.

This stand is quite large and heavy. It's honestly a bit more than what I would like but I wanted a windup stand that would support a large boom and where both risers went up via the crank. If this was 2/3 the size that it is, it would be perfect and work much better for location work. Still, it's a great stand and does exactly what it's designed to do so it get's 5 stars. I won't be taking it on location unless there is very definitive need and I have a couple strong dudes to wrangle it. 5

Super sturdy and very needed if you are lifting heavy stuff. Is very heavy itself, so definitively you'll need the optional wheels. 5

I have been using C-stands to hold an HMI Light and/or a backlight on an arm. This was a 2 person job and not particularly safe. This stand makes raising heavy lights easier and much safer. It is rock solid- you really can stand on the built-in step to make adjustments. It is quite heavy so use a dolly or 2 people to haul it. Definitely recommend getting the optional wheels. 5

I bought 1 of these when I bought the Kupo big boom. I didn't want to lift the boom by hand like I have been doing. I haven't received the boom yet but put my large parabolic on it. I got to love the crank up. It's awesome. So, I bought a second one and have an avenger boom on it. It's that good. Only thing I wish is it had a wider base. Wheels are a must have. I also have the impact weights on each leg. The Kupo clamp won't fit the main section either so hanging a power pack off it has to be done a different way. I'm planning on more crank stands. 5

Very sturdy high roller. Love the safety mechanism that prevents it from coming down. Heavy but that is what you need if you are trying to use expensive/heavy equipment on top of it. The price difference with others that come with wheels is hundreds of dollars. I got the wheels from Kupo designed for this roller for $53 Kupo 80mm Brake Caster 22mm Round (Set 3) B&H�#�KUKS940322 MFR�#�KS940322 It is impossible to get a high roller like this for a lower price. 5

Very well built. This will save me from lifting heavy loaded booms. The only regret is it pretty darn heavy. It's no fun lifting in and out of my van but worth the trouble. I don't have to sell my self short on how to light something with this on location. Make sure to get the Kupo 100mm Brake Caster 30mm Square (Set 3) because B&H didn't have it in the accessories section at the time of my purchase. 5
