Transform a single USB 3.0 port from a notebook, tablet, or desktop into seven USB 3.0 ports—with two performing double duty as charging ports—with the Powered USB 3.0 Slim Aluminum Hub from Xcellon. Each of the seven ports is outfitted with USB 3.0 technology that enables it to transfer data at rates of up to 5 Gb/s. When used as a stand-alone hub, the two charging ports can each deliver up to 2.4A of current for recharging tablets, smartphones, and other power-hungry devices. Furthermore, the hub is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 interfaces and supports a wide-variety of systems, including Windows, Mac, Chrome, and Linux.

When compared to the previous version, this Xcellon hub features a slimmer design as well as a redesigned power system, which provides a toggle switch and the ability to automatically turn on when the host computer is powered on or restarted. Moreover, the slim design and rubber treads allow the hub to stay upright while unplugging and plugging in USB cables.

Xcellon has constructed this 7-port hub of heat-dissipating aluminum and includes a dual-voltage power adapter for ensuring ample power flows to your USB-connected devices, while reducing the strain on the host system's components. Aside from power, LED indicators are located next to each port, so you can see the power status of each individual USB port. There's also an included 3.3' (1m) USB 3.0 Type-A cable and an included 3.3' (1m) USB 3.0 Type-C cable that lets you start using this hub right away.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the power output on the data only ports? need 2A for my hard drives...

A: 3 x USB 3.1 / USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (2.4 A)

Q: 2. What is the voltage output of the two 2.4A charging ports on this device?

A: USB standard is 5v.

Q: 3. Do you carry a similar slim USB 3.0 Hub that connects to either a USB 3.2 Gen Type -C or a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port on Desktop PC?

A: The Xcellon 7-Port Powered USB 3.0 Slim Aluminum Hub can be connected to a USB Type C port by using a USB Type B to USB Type C cable such as BH #STUSB2CB1M instead of the included USB Type B to USB Type A cable.

Q: 4. Will this work well on iMac 2019 and can I hookup Time Machine backup USB drive?

A: Yes, this hub is compatible and will work with an external, bus powered storage volume.

Q: 5. Can I plug an external HD into the data/charging port?

A: Yes, the data/charging port supports both Data (using an HD or flash drive) as well as charging devices.

Q: 6. can it work without power (I mean with usb cable only) ?

A: It requires power to use.

Q: 7. Will this plug into my 2022 Mac laptop, which does not have the old USB ports?

A: Yes, the Xcellon 4-Port Powered USB 3.0 Slim Aluminum Hub with 1 Dual Data/Charging Port BH #XCSH43H1HC2 comes with 2 cables, one of them is USB C the other is USB A for older devices.

Q: 8. Can I use this for multiple Video Cameras that runs on USB 3.0 like web cam and PTZ etc.?

A: I've had problems with my external hard drives randomly force ejecting with this USB hub. I think it might be due to the power supply, but in my personal experience, it's not the most stable connection.

Q: 9. My question is; If you connect a "1.1 OR 2.0" USB Device into one of the USB 3.0 Ports, will all the other ports still function at "3.0" Speed?! OR will they too be slowed down to the slowest USB Device you have connected to the Hub?! I've noticed that on another "Xcellon 4-Port Non-Powered Hub" I have. When I plugged in my Western Digital 2TB Passport (USB 3.0) Hard Drive, it would not connect or be seen by the computer until I unplugged the "USB 2.0 PNY 128GB Thumb Drive".

A: Each port will run at its own speed. That said, you still have only one connection to your computer, so if all 7 ports are active, then speeds will appear to slow down. As to only one storage device being seen, that likely is a config issue with the OS. You will need to mount the second drive and assign a drive letter using whatever hardware configurator your OS has. For Windows, it would be in Computer Management, Storage, Disk Management. There you will find the drives, just look for the one without a drive letter. If it hasn't been, you may need to format the drive so it will be recognized.

Q: 10. How long is the included usb cable that connects to the computer?

A: The Xcellon 7-Port Powered USB 3.0 Slim Aluminum Hub with 2 Dual Data/Charging Ports BH #XCSH75H2HC2 includes 2 cables, both are 3 ft. In the Box Hub Power Adapter USB 3.0 Type-A Cable (1m | 3 ft) USB 3.0 Type-C Cable (1m | 3 ft) Limited 1-Year Warranty

I needed more than 4 ports and this fit the bill. Works great and powered ports are very helpful.

The product is very well made. I love the power button on the back. The ports are very stable. Danny, the technical support person, is wonderful! I can't say enough good things about the product! I think it is an excellent company.

This is an excellent piece of gear. It's built solidly with a metal chassis, but it's very light. The rubber feet give it some stability on your desktop so it wont slide around when you need to plug or unplug a device. The one thing that was surprising is how compact it is. It will sit unobtrusively on your desktop and won't get in the way. The two charging ports are an excellent feature and let me charge my iPhone without the computer being powered on. This is a useful little piece of gear for anyone who uses or needs to charge several USB devices.

Nice-looking unit. the power hub drive works fantastic. Works much better than a plug in USB 3 hub.

The only thing I would add to it is a means of mounting it.  A bracket would be nice.

The xcellon hub has been my answer to getting more USB ports from my macbook. I can now attach my external hard drive, wacom tablet, and charge my phone with my macbook. I really like that it has an independent power supply for things like my external hard drives. And it's small and fits inside my laptop bag.

I placed my hub on the floor by the side of my desk. I love the indicator LEDs that show the hub is turned on and which ports are active. The hub is heavy enough to stay upright and in place with all my cables plugged-in. Whoever designed this unit did a great job. I've used the hub for 9 weeks without any problems. I highly recommend it.
