The 8' Manfrotto 2-Section Wind Up Stand with Leveling Leg is a chrome plated steel stand with geared column and one leveling leg, rugged and heavy duty. It combines the strength, stability and portability that is required by today's demanding professionals. Like all Manfrotto stands, it features universal mounts which have both a 1-1/8" and 5/8" female socket as well as a 5/8" male stud.

Q: 1. Is there a manual on how to put on the wheels?

A: The Avenger Wind-Up 39 Stand with Braked Wheels (Chrome-plated, 12') does not come with a manual. To put the wheels on the stand first unscrew the nut from the wheel then slide hex shaped nut in allotted foot space of stand leg. Use the Allen wrench to hold the wheel into place while spinning the wheel until secure. Do this for all three legs.

Q: 2. Do you have these stands in Black instead of Chrome?

A: The black version of this stand is the Avenger Combo Alu Stand 45 with Leveling Leg (Black, 14.7') B&H # AVA1045B. Please see the image below.

Q: 3. If you pull the baby pin, could you use this as a dana dolly stand in place of the Matthews slider stands?

A: The feature of pulling out the baby pin is not mentioned by the MFR.

Q: 4. What parts of the stand are aluminum?

A: This is not an accurate title, as the majority of this stand is chrome plated steel. The only parts that are aluminum are the collars on each riser.

Q: 5. How much cranking extension?

A: 6 ft. both extensions extend simultaneously.

Q: 6. Does this work with a Manfrotto 025BS Super boom?

A: Yes, the stand is compatible with Manfrotto 025BSL Super Boom ONLY, Black - 8.8' (2.7 m) B&H # MA025BSL MFR # 025BSL.The adapter the boom comes with works with a female 1 1/8 (Junior or a 5/8th stud)

A: The Avenger Combo Steel Stand column are made of steel and all tension control knobs are made of aluminum.

I bought two of these for my camera slider, which is heavy. These are the smallest stands but as sturdy as their big brothers! More so than those small footprint C-stands, and you can get them in office cubicles etc. One note, the rocky mtn leg as you can imagine isn't really that long, it works for slight inclines only. 5

You'll never want to use cheap stands again after using this sexy beast. It's not the lightest but it is very pleasant to use and well built. I also like the Rocky Mountain leg for slight inclines. 5
