$239.97 $292.76

The Ortofon OM 5E is a low-mass moving magnet cartridge with an elliptical stylus, well suited for music lovers and Hi-Fi enthusiasts. The cartridge body has been designed to provide easy mounting and alignment on both top-mount and bottom-mount headshells.

A tiny, removable weight plate is tucked into the mounting bracket for use with standard tonearms. Or, remove it for a low-mass tonearm, reducing the weight of the cartridge to a mere 2.5 g. Made from a plastic and glass compound, the OM 5E enclosure is lightweight and ensures high rigidity with freedom from resonance. Its computer modeled design improves linearity, leads to higher channel separation, and reduces distortion.

Q: 6. will this adapter connect olympus digital ED lenses that will attach to an olympus E-510 with an olympus E-M5 mark II body?

Q: 10. can this be used with the Olympus air?

A: As I do not own and have not used an Olympus Air so far, I cannot give a definite yes or no answer to this question. Yet, I can tell you that this adapter will physically fit on the Olympus AIR as it features a standard Micro Four Thirds lens mount, and it will allow you to mount older Olympus OM lenses at the right focal distance. However, as you are probably aware, autofocus is not possible with these older lenses and only manual or aperture priority exposure will be possible with this setup. I have successfully used this adapter on OM EM-1 and EM-5 MarkII bodies, but not on the Olympus Air. Functionality will likely depends on the versatility of the built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth operations. The only way to be sure is to test it.

Up to now I am very satisfied with the camera. I have used it for pictures and taken some videos during the day and also during a performance at night. All the images and videos were of excellent quality. Considering that my previous camera is an Olympus EPL-1, this is a mayor upgrade for me!

Still learning all the menu options. Quite happy with the performance so far with the stock 12-45mm f/4 lens (can't beat the price of ~$200 over the body price). Added a 40-150mm f/4 for daytime shots. This 40-150 is a little longer and heavier, but wow, does it open up possibilities for hikes in the mountains. I get home to view the pics and see things I didn't even see when snapping the shot.

I upgraded to the OM-5 from a decade old E-M5 and I'm amazed with the camera so far. I bought it for the size/weight and the weather sealing but the improved focusing, bracketing capabilities, live composite mode, pro capture, etc. are going to keep me engaged and producing exciting wilderness and travel images for a long time.

I have been using a Canon full frame camera for years now but I have often questioned it because of how much it weighs and how large it is for doing landscapes while hiking. I've always been told that full frame is the only way to get proper photos and the creamy bokeh and all that. I have to say that after using the OM-5 I can see that what I was told is a total myth. I can get as good or even better results with this smaller mft sensor than with a full frame sensor. When I say better I am talking about its amazing features like 50mp hand held photos which are amazing, the live ND, built in focus bracketing and all in a much much smaller package, even the lenses are a fraction of the size and at an even more affordable price. It feels liberating to switch to micro four thirds and I recommend it for everyone who photographs in the mountains.

Purchased this to have a weather / dust resistant outdoor camera. The smaller size and light weight are a plus.
Have been using it for over a month and enjoy it.

It has what I was missing in my beloved Pen F, weather sealing and live ND. It is a thing of beauty. Light as a feather without lenses but so capable that I sold my Sony full frame system, which it was great for image quality, but not cool looking, heavy and bulky. For $1,000, you cannot beat this. The G9, which I also own is a big camera, not so great for traveling, therefore the OM-5 will be in my travel bag way more often than the G9.

I'm a longtime photography enthusiast. I was wanting a technically capable camera that was weather resistant and easy to take along. Here it is.
Amazing feature set and with proper technique you get outstanding images.
I only post on social platforms but you can easily make high quality images suitable for framing.

My full frame cameras became to heavy and bulky for traveling. The OM 5, even with several lenses, is a lighter more manageable system. The image stabilization lets me leave the tripod home while allowing me to get sharp photos. Highly recommend.

I bought the OM-5 as a smaller, lighter companion to the OM-1. The OM-5 lacks subject detection (birds, mainly, for me), but I plan to use it as an everyday-carry and fun camera that nonetheless has image quality that's about equivalent to that of the OM-1. Not bad. Some people complain about the outdated USB connection and the older Olympus menu system. Yes, USB-C would be faster and more modern. And yes, the menu system of the OM-1 is more intuitive. But I am looking to set up the OM-5 so that it's basically customized to the ways I shoot, and for that its menus are OK. I'm not trying to master every nook and cranny of the camera's capabilities. I have set the camera up to meet my needs for now (as I have the OM-1), and will explore new features when I need to know about them. The OM-5 is a refresh of the Olympus E-M5 iii, which is an excellent camera and is available used at attractive prices. But in the end, even though the OM-5 is just a refresh/update of the E-M5 iii, the OM-5 is a better camera-- better weathersealing, improved processor, hand-held high-res, starry sky AF, etc. You can find other cameras that improve on the OM-5 in some ways. However, it's hard to find another camera this small and light, with IP53 weathersealing, outstanding image stabilization, a huge range of lenses available (new and used), and all in this price range.

So far all expectations from learning on E-M1 Mark III met. Fun to use. Sturdy.
