Q: 1. Does this have Bus ?

A: The QU16 has robust mix-bus options, and in addition to the main left/right FOH mix there are 10 other output buses and two dedicated effects buses.

Q: 2. Hello! Does this mixer comes with any DAW? If so, what DAW? If there is no DAW in the package, is this compatible with any DAW? (preferably Studio One 3) What are some software comes with mixer? And also, is this a windows compatible for recording purposes? Does it record individual track per channel on DAW or any recording software? Do I need a speaker amplifier or it has already a built in amplifier?

A: It does not come with free DAW software. It is a digital mixer and includes no bonus software. Yes. You may use either Windows or Mac for recording. It will record via USB from your choice of the main left/right mix or individual channels. This mixer does not have a speaker, nor power for amplification. You need peripheral equipment.

Q: 3. Will this be good enough fro a professional recording studio ? Or will I get a much better sound from a Focusrite top priced? Or will it not be notifyable ?

A: I would say the QU-32C is good enough to operate in a professional recording studio, absolutely. The QU-32C is is capable of 32x32 channel recording/playback at 24-Bit and a 48kHz sample rate over USB-B to a computer. Beyond that, the AnalogiQ digitally controlled preamps offer excellent transparency, minimal distortion, and an incredibly low noise floor, with a warm, musical sound that some digital consoles lack. In comparison to high end Focusrite products, a Focusrite interface could offer a high sample rate (upwards of 192kHz) as well as a different selection of preamps, which could potentially be noticeable depending on your acoustic environment and the speakers you're monitoring through. But a Focusrite interface will lack the hands-on control that a console like the QU-32C can offer. Both are more than capable of operating in a professional studio environment as far as audio quality goes. Deciding between the 2 really depends on your workflow. If like hands-on control, then the QU-32C may be the option for you. But if you need to record at sample rates beyond 48kHz, a Focusrite interface may be the better option.

Q: 4. Can I connect an X32 Rack to this console via Cat6?

A: Yes, you can digitally connect your Midas X32 Rack to the Allen & Heath Qu-16C Rackmountable Digital Mixer via a RJ45 Cat-6 connection.

Q: 5. Can each of the Mix outputs on the back of the Qu16 be sent to individual stereo headphones.?? or will I have to create pairs in the mix outputs for each headphone mix?

A: The XLR mix outputs are mono, however output 5/6, 7/8, and 9/10 are configured as stereo pairs.

(preferably Studio One 3) What are some software comes with mixer? And also, is this a windows compatible for recording purposes? Does it record individual track per channel on DAW or any recording software? Do I need a speaker amplifier or it has already a built in amplifier?

A: The Allen & Heath Qu-16C is a 16-channel digital mixer and USB audio interface designed for live and installed sound, as well as studio use. The built-in USB audio interface is compatible with Apple and Windows computers, and will allow you to record individual tracks in a multi-track DAW. The QU-16C does not ship with software, but can be used with most popular DAW software in the market. Currently, DAW templates are available on the Allen & Heath website for users of Cubase, Logic X, and Pro Tools. Digital mixers in general do not provide power for speakers. Therefore, the QU-16C needs to be integrated with a passive or active speaker solution for sound reinforcement.
