A: The Hikvision AcuSense DS-2CD2783G2-IZS 8MP Outdoor Network Dome Camera must be connected and powered via a Cat-5/6 cable connected to your network. Or Connected to a Hikvision NVR. It is not a WI-Fi camera. You can also use the Hikvision Smartphone app to view your cameras from any location.

Q: 4. Per the specs, the cameras program interface is Open API & Supports ONVIF so I'm sure my Lorex NVR (model LNR6100) will recognize the camera but, will I be able to control the pan, tilt and zoom via the Lorex NVR PTX controls?

A: Lorex NVR's are really programmed to only work with Lorex cameras. I have not seen a Hikvision camera work with a Lorex NVR.

Q: 5. Do these cameras have powered PTV that can be controlled remotely? I have installed mine and the arrows in the WebUI do nothing.

A: This camera does not support pan and tilt only zoom. When it states the adjustments of the camera in the specifications they refer to the manual adjustments of the unit.

Q: 6. What microphones work with this unit? Seems it's wired differently from current RCA microphones that are easy to find.

Q: 8. When purchasing there is an option to have a heater in the camera or not. With a heater the camera model is DS-2CD6D54FWD-IZHS. If you choose to not have a heater then it shows the model number as DS-2CD6D54FWD-Z which would indicate that not only does it not have a heater but no infrared lighting or audio input/output. If you choose to not have a heater then the model number should be DS-2CD6D54FWD-IZS. So which model do you actually carry if you choose to not have a heater? Q: 9. Does is has Patrol mode and Presets?, how many hours it can store in 128 GB? Intrusion area and line crossing?

A: There is no specific patrol mode but it does have 300 presets. It does have intrusion are and line crossing detection. With a 128GB micro SD card with H.265+ compression, 4MP and 24 fps it will store about 5 days of continuous recording.

Q: 10. As device manufacture spec, It support panorama stream up to 8160 x 3616 @ 30 fps. But the spec in this site looks like wrong?
