The Q20 Q-Lion Switch Lithium-Ion Linear LED Lamp from Quasar Science is a portable, 24", battery-operated, bi-color tube light useful for creating fill and accents in both still imaging and video-based applications. Compact and lightweight, the Q20 may be mounted via the 3/8"-16 socket or simply stuck in place on metal surfaces with its magnetic base. This Version 3 LED light features single-button operation and the button is recessed to prevent accidental setting changes.

Swap through preset output levels of 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 10%, and off for quick and easily repeatable setups. Hold the same button to adjust color temperature between 3000K, 4300K, and 5600K modes to create different atmospheres or match different on-location lighting. Output is flicker-free at any output level.

The integrated 6400mAh lithium-ion battery operates the Q20 linear LED for up to 4 hours at 100% output. The integrated battery level indicator allows the remaining charge to be monitored. The battery is charged with the included charger via a micro-USB port, and the lamp may be used while charging. Please note, the light will not charge on a standard 5V USB charger. The light features a kill switch to disable battery operation for travel.

Quasar has the quality. Its a little more expensive then I would like (the plug in version is a fraction of the price) but you do get what you pay for. Essentially for running and gunning where no need for an outlet or hassles in set up are crucial. Will need a way to mount this light to a light stand if needed, I use the SmallRig 2164 with an additional thread adapter but many other options too. 5

Maybe you need a small work light that stays in your shipping case or maybe you find that every now and then you wish you could put some small controllable light in the back ground of a intv setup.. This is really great for just that.. Ether a back ground element in a intv or if you want to place it inside a practical lamp and control the color or level this is small and basically hand size that you can place it any were. Maybe you need a dash light in a car interior for a quick few clips of someone driving or in the back seat. Or an eye light on the camera its really hand size and I find that I use it a lot more than I thought I would now I have a quick small light with 5600K to 3200. 4 settings to dim.. 5
