The tan Countryman E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 1/4" Connector for Line 6 Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 1/4" connector for direct connection to Line 6 TBP06 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the headphones female port trs or trrs and will this work with my Canon M50

A: The Kopul ACH4-25MON Line-to-Mic Attenuator Cable uses a standard 1/8" TRS connection for headphone monitoring and is compatible for use with the 1/8" / 3.5 mm TRS stereo microphone input on the Canon EOS M50 Mark II Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 2. Is the item compatible with the Sony A7s?

A: Yes it is. The Sony A7s has a 1/8 inch mic level input. The Kopul attenuator would be used coming out of a line level source.

Q: 3. How many channels of audio does the cable send?

A: This, Sescom LN2MIC-TASDR100 Line Out to Camera Mic Level In Cable, is intended to pass stereo (L/R) signals.

Q: 4. Does this cable work for Panasonic Lumix S1R and Zoom H6? Thank you!

A: Hi Edward. For the Zoom H6 recorder, we recommend the LN2MIC-ZOOMH6 or LN2MIC-ZMH6-MON assembly. Thank you!

Q: 5. Can you wear a backpack with the harness?

A: Yes, you can still wear a backpack while wearing the HoldFast MoneyMaker 2-camera harness.

Q: 6. Does this cable work for zoom f6 too??

A: Hi Ching. This cable attenuates the signal 35dB, so it might attenuate the signal a bit more than desired. We have a couple of cables specifically for the Zoom H6, the LN2MIC-ZOOMH6 and LN2MIC-ZMH6-MON. These Zoom H6-specific cables attenuate 25dB rather than 35dB. The LN2MIC-TASDR100 cable will work, but you might have to raise the audio level up on your camera if the audio level is a bit low. Thank you!

Q: 7. There are Kopul ACH4-25MON and Kopul ACDR-35. One has 25dB of Attenuation and the other one has 35dB of Attenuation. Please clarify: When to choose the first one and when the second one?

A: Both cables will provide sufficient attenuation for use padding a line level output signal from a device such as a portable audio recorder in order to match the mic level input on a camera or device with a 3.5mm mic input. -25 dB is typically enough, but -35 dB will provide even more attenuation. A higher level of attenuation would be needed if the -25 dB attenuation level is still overloading the mic input or if more headroom is desired.

Q: 8. Would this cable work to record line level from a mixer to an iPhone?

A: The Sescom LN2MIC-TASDR100 Line Out to Camera Mic Level In Cable will convert line level signal to mic level, but you would need to use additional adapters to connect from the mixer and to enable compatibility with the iPhone. As another option, Sescom does offer other types of line to mic attenuator cables that are intended for use with smartphones and have a 3.5mm TRRS connector on the end that connects to the smartphone which you would use with the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APLAADAP) to convert the TRRS plug to Lightning. Depending on the mixer and its available output connectors, you will have different options such as the Sescom Dual 1/4" Phone Plug to 3.5mm TRRS Plug Line to Microphone Summing Cable 3' (B&H # SEIPSUMTS3) or the Sescom Stereo RCA to 3.5mm TRRS Plug Line to Mic Level Summing Cable for Mobile Devices 36" (B&H # SEIPSUMRCA3) or the Sescom Dual Female XLR to 3.5mm TRRS Plug - Line to Mic Level Summing Cable for Mobile Devices 3' (B&H # SEIPSUMXLR3). These cables will send the left and right output from the mixer and will connect to the iPhone when used with the Apple Lightning adapter

Q: 9. Would this be able to hook line out of zoom H6 into mic input of another recorder (h1n or computer) for a back up recording of zoom h6? Or can you just use a regular 3.5mm aux cable? Thank you!

A: Yes, you can use the attenuator cable to connect the line out from the H6 into the mic input of another recorder. If the second recorder that is being used for the backup recording accepts line level input signal, then you can use a standard 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRS aux cable. As an example, Zoom's H1n accepts mic and line level through its 3.5mm TRS input. Just check the specs for the audio inputs on your backup recorder to be sure of what type of signal it accepts.

Q: 10. Is this cable compatible with the Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera?

A: This splitter cable is compatible with the Black Magic Micro Cinema Camera, if you do require a female headphone tap as well as an output from a digital recorder. But be aware that the camera can accept a line level signal into the 3.5mm input, so the attentuation to mic level is not necessary.
