The tan Countryman E6 Directional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 2.5mm Locking Connector for Comtek Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 2.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Comtek M-216 and M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. SAMSUNG GALAXY 7 EDGE?

A: I bought mine for an iPhone 6 and did't like the mic as it produced hisses and pops. The phones mic is better that this one.

Q: 2. Hello when attached to a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with wind screen for back facing camera will the mic be seen in the shot since the camera is right next to the rode mic when mounted

A: It's hard to say without having tried it myself. I have used it with an iPhone 6. I'm sure you could adjust the fluffy part of the wind screen in such a way that its outside the field of view.

Q: 3. Could the flex mount be removed to mount on cameras instead of phones? If not, would there be any downside to cutting off the flex mount so it could fit?

A: Hi Caleb, no the VideoMic Me won't connect direct to cameras as the connection is a TRRS plug designed for smart phones. The VideoMicro is essentially the same microphone but designed to sit on-camera. a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183909-REG/rode_videomicro_compact_on_camera.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183909-REG/rode_videomicro_compact_on_camera.html/a

Q: 4. Does this mic work with the LG G6?

A: It works through the headphone jack. Doesn't require any support from the software. So as long as the G6 has a headphone jack, it should work.

Q: 5. Can this mic be used on samsung galaxy s5 ? The jack on S5 is on the top so would that be a issue ? If yes how to resolve it ?

A: I dont think it would be an issue so long as the jack is not over the camera. If it is then the microphone would cover the camera when attached. I have a galaxy s6 (jack at the bottom) and it works perfectly with my cinema fv-5 app.

Q: 6. Are these compatible with the other Comtek products used for production monitoring such as the PR216 and M216?

A: See below from Comtek Website https://comtek.com/m-216-option-p7 The M-216 Option P7 is the perfect on-the-go field transmitter offering directors, crew, and client reliable and superior sounding wireless program monitoring. For use with the PR-216 or PR-216 Option 7 wireless receivers, this portable, battery powered transmitter is built to withstand the most demanding needs of location sound monitoring. Equipped with a flexible short whip antenna, the M-216 Option P7 offers superior RF transmission and a greater operating range. Built with performance in mind, the M-216 Option P7 provides the quality and dependability required by top sound mixers! https://comtek.com/m-216-option-p7

Q: 7. Several people have asked the question about using on a dslr. I would love to use this on a dslr because it has a headphone monitor and line out. My dslr doesn't have a headphone out. This device would almost solve the audio monitoring issue that most cheap dslr's have( no headphone jack out). I know that it wouldn't be the gain controlled audio from the camera but just the raw audio coming from the mic but it is better than nothing. So, It seems like this mic would work just fine for dslr, but I wanted to be 100% sure if the jack on the mic that is TRRS(the kind with the extra ring in the connector, not just a regular TRS jack) would work with a dslr camera? Does the mic need the extra ring for power?

A: Hi, you won't be able to plug this mic (with TRRS connection) into a DSLR (with TRS input). You could use the SC3 adaptor, but you will have nowhere to mount the mic to the camera. It really has only been designed for smartphones, not DSLR cameras.

Q: 8. I did not realize that this microphone was designed to be used on a phone with the headphone jack on the opposite end of the phone from the camera. Mine has both on the same end. Is there another microphone or a work around that you recommend using in this situation?

A: This mic is designed to be plugged into the headphone jack of the phone on either side of the camera. The mic provides a headphone output on the back of the unit for quick playback after recording. There's no need to have the mic on a specific side of the phone.

Q: 9. Does anybody have any experience with using the video mic me with apps like FaceTime or phone calling?

A: I use it for Periscope, worked great....

Q: 10. Will the mic work with a Google Pixel phone(android OS)?

A: Yes, this will be compatible with the Google Pixel.
