The white B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sensitivity, with Detachable 4-Pin Hirose Connector for Audio Technica Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is the least sensitive mic and a good choice for instrument applications, opera, or where the microphone will be positioned very near the mouth. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Audio Technica AEW-T1000, AEW-T1000a, ATW-T1001, ATW-T35m, ATW-T601, ATW-T701, ATW-T75, and ESW-T211 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this work on a go pro???

A: The Hero2 has the necessary input port, but if you've got a newer model you'll need the GoPro USB to 3.5mm mic adapter - then you're good to go!

Q: 2. 6 mics simultaneously in same studio. Manuel suggests that you can run up to 10 mics in same space. Reading that right?

A: That is correct, the Audio-Technica ATW-1311/L System 10 PRO Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (2.4 GHz) can support up to 10 channels/mics in a close proximity.

Q: 3. Would this Audio Technical System 10 work well with Sony A7S?

A: Yes. Any camera that has an 1/8th inch stereo mic input. Keep in mind the input level adjustment is in an odd place under the battery hood. It can typically be left all the way up unless you are experiencing distortion. Otherwise you have to remove the battery hood and adjust it with this little tool. It has never been an issue for me, but just a heads up.

Q: 4. Could you tell me which lav mic cpmes with it? Thanks in advance.

A: This system ships with the MT830cW lavalier. See the following link for more information: a href= http://bhpho.to/1BdG8NF target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1BdG8NF/a

Q: 5. Is the receiver unit dual band meaning can I use transmitters sending signal to one receiver unit?

A: The System 10 receiver is only capable of receiving a single transmitters signal simultaneously.

Q: 6. So what you're saying is the receiver has an internal battery that will need to be recharged? So it's useless until charged? Is the li-ion battery replaceable on the receiver? Please say it is.

A: This transmitter runs on 2x 1.5 V AA (not included). Standard alkaline or rechargeable AA cells may be used. The receiver portion includes a 3.7V rechargeable Li-ion battery that must be charged prior to use. it is not user replaceable.

Q: 7. Would I be able to use a different mic than the included Lav? What kind of adapter would be required for a mic with XLR output? It would be used with a fixed mic on a stand about 90 feet line of sight from the receiver. Sound would only be for camera sync.

A: You are NOT limited to just the included lav. There are several other mic options available including a cardioid lav AT898CW which I use, and a hand held cardioid with built-in transmitter designed for the System 10 reciever. You can also get (or make) adapters to connect XLR to the AT 4-pin with the right wiring. note that the impedence of some mics will match better than others.

Q: 8. Can a System 10 wirless transmitter be sent to two separate receivers?

A: Because of its 2.4GHz communication protocol, the Audio-Technica ATW-1311/L System 10 PRO Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System is unable to tune multiple receivers to the same transmitter simultaneously.

Q: 9. Will the Countryman B6 4 pin connector work with this? a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/294426-REG/Countryman_B6W4FF05BAN_B6_Omnidirectional_Lavalier_Microphone.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/294426-REG/Countryman_B6W4FF05BAN_B6_Omnidirectional_Lavalier_Microphone.html/a

A: Yes if the mic you are referring to matches up:Input Connections Four-pin locking connector: 4-Pin HRS ConnectorPin 1: GND, Pin 2: INST INPUTPin 3: MIC INPUT, DC BIAS +9 V

Q: 10. I already have a Rode PinMic that I use with a Zoom H1 for maximum discreetness when shooting weddings. Will the PinMic work with this system, or should I make sure to get the audio-technica lavalier?

A: the mic attaches by a unique to AT .. to my frustration my sony mics and sure mics will not work. Also odd with this system is the the the receiver uses 2 aa batteries (normal) the tranmitter pack must be recharged. (weird to me) I bought it for the neat antenna but I'd stick with Sony or Sure in the future. hope that helps. Pete
