The cocoa B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Low Sensitivity, with Hardwired TA4F Connector for Shure Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is ideal for use as a head mic in theater. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Shure MXW1 and MXW1/0=-Z11 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Q: 1. Can transmitter be connected via adapters to XLR or 1/8?

A: Yes ir csn. This is also availible as an XLR set here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1444574-REG/sennheiser_xsw_d_xlr_base_set_xlr_base_set_xsw_d.html

Q: 2. Is there a drop in charger for the belt pack transmitters

A: Yes. The transmitter includes two standard alkaline AA batteries, but can also be powered using the optional Shure SB903 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery for SLX-D Transmitters (B&H # SHSB903). To charge the SB903 battery while inside the transmitter, you can use the Shure SBC203 Dual-Docking Recharging Station for SB903 Batteries & SLX-D Transmitters (B&H # SHSBC203US) which accommodates two SLX-D transmitters or an individual SB903 battery can be charged with the Shure SBC10-903 Single-Battery Charger for SB903 Battery (B&H # SHSBC10903US). Standard rechargeable AA batteries can be used with the SLX-D transmitter, but, can not be charged with either the SBC203 or SBC10-903 chargers or while they are inside the transmitter.

Q: 3. Would this work with a Zoom F2 field recorder?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser MKE 40 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone with Hardwired 1/8" TRS Connector for EW Series Bodypack Transmitter is compatible for use with the Zoom F2 Field Recorder.

Q: 4. How long is the cable and will this Tram TR50 Mic work directly in a camcorder such as a Sony Z-190 — with a longer XLR cable attached?

A: The cable for the TR50 is 4.5 feet long. The mic can be connected directly to the Sony camcorder or used with an additional XLR cable to extend the length. The mic requires 12 to 48V phantom power and the camera will supply it.

Q: 5. does the xlr transmitter work with the rode-NTG 2 ?

A: No, the XLR is the receiver.

Q: 6. How would this perform as a headset mic for football/basketball playcallers? Is the isolation pretty good?

A: This product works well for this application, providing decent off-axis rejection of unwanted ambient sound. Keeping your gain settings a little lower on the bodypack will also help reduce ambient bleed. In particularly loud environments and in sports applications, it may also be helpful to mute or turn off your bodypack between announcements or calls to avoid unwanted speech or noise transmissions between uses.

Q: 7. Will this work with the Rode Wireless Go 2?

A: Yes. The Tram TR50 Omni Lavalier Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector (Black) BH #TRTR50BSETP will work with the RODE Wireless Go II system.

Q: 8. Can I use these mics with Sony UWP-D 21 wireless packs if I get a small adpater ( to go from the 3,5 mm locking connection to the different one on the Sony's body packs) ?

A: No, you will not be able to use the Sennheiser MKE 40 with a Sony UWP transmitter. The internal wiring for Sennheiser and Sony mics is different and they are not compatible or interchangeable. Alternatively, you are also not able to use mics wired for Sony transmitters with Sennheiser transmitters. This is not something that can be fixed with an adapter. You would need to rewire the mic which will void the manufacturer's warranty on a new item. Please feel free to contact us for assistance in selecting a compatible mic.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with the XS series of Sennheiser body packs?

A: Unfortunately the Sennheiser MKE 40 is not compatible with the XS series. Only the SK 100, SK 300, and SK 500 Evolution Wireless Series bodypack transmitters.

Q: 10. Will the Sennheiser MKE 40Cardioid work with a Mevo start camera?

A: The MKE 40 will not connect directly to the Mevo Start. This mic is intended for use with a wireless transmitter, but can be used as a wired mic with appropriate adapters and a phantom power supply. You can use the Sennheiser MZA 900 P - In-Line Preamplifier and Power Supply for EW Series Microphones (B&H # SEMZA900P) which has an XLR output to connect with a phantom power supply such as the Mackie M48 Single-Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply (B&H # MAM48) or Rolls PB23 - Single Channel Phantom Power Supply (B&H # ROPB23). From the output of the phantom power supply, you can use an XLR to 3.5mm cable such as the Kopul XRSM 3-Pin XLR Female to 3.5mm RA Stereo Mini-Plug Cable (B&H # KOXRSM03B) to connect to the mic input on the Mevo Start.
