The black Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 2.5mm locking Connector for Comtek Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 2.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Comtek M-216 and M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 2. So I have a marlin 81 DL untapped open sites only but want to add a scope ...is this what I need and is there another part needed as well If so which part?

Q: 5. How does this compare to the ME 2-II microphone (which came with my G4 wireless system)? The original mic has gone bad so I need to replace it and am trying to determine which mic is best for documentary filmmaking between this one, ME2 and MKE2 (which is really outside of my budget currently).

A: This mic is designed for use on the stage and has some features particular to that aplication, like more flexable cords, higher SPL levels and sweat restance. For shooting documentary footage the ME-2 would be a better choice.

Q: 9. Can the AT-216 support more than one remote mic?

A: Great question! I believe all you would need is a simple line splitter/adaptor in order to plug in more than one mic, say a lavaliere for the main speaker and a boundary mic for table-top discussions. The mics would need to have similar output sensitivity so that one doesn't overwhelm the other, since you would have no way to control the input volume of separate mics. Keep in mind that both mics would be plugged into the same transmitter, which might be physically problematic (for instance, if the transmitter is worn on the body as opposed to sitting on a folded cloth on a table). Line splitters are either a roughly 1 x 1 solid plug-in with 2 one-eighth inch female sockets, or one plug-in with two cables, each with its own 1/8 socket. Use whichever type of splitter would best meet your needs. Keep in mind that as a listening device the sound is monaural not stereo, meaning you'll hear the same combined signals in both ears. Please let me know if this was helpful. Best wishes, Mark H.

Q: 10. How does this mic compare to the DK3A one from Saramonic?

A: The DK3A is much higher quality (sounds better).
