The black Countryman E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Low Gain with Detachable 1mm Cable and 1/4" Connector for Line 6 Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 1/4" connector for direct connection to Line 6 TBP06 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit a stevens springfield 84c?

A: do not know, that is only the base, for the scope you have to buy the other part to hold the scope goes pretty well on 22 caliber cooey in tear 60

Q: 2. Which end goes to which? There are no example pictures.

A: The side of the cable that is labeled 'Line-Level' on the Sescom 3.5 mm Line to Mic -25 dB Audio Cable for Zoom H6 (9") would connect to the line-level output on the recorder. The other side is the 'Mic-Level' connector, which would connect to the microphone input on your DSLR camera or camcorder.

Q: 3. There are Kopul ACH4-25MON and Kopul ACDR-35. One has 25dB of Attenuation and the other one has 35dB of Attenuation. Please clarify: When to choose the first one and when the second one?

A: Both cables will provide sufficient attenuation for use padding a line level output signal from a device such as a portable audio recorder in order to match the mic level input on a camera or device with a 3.5mm mic input. -25 dB is typically enough, but -35 dB will provide even more attenuation. A higher level of attenuation would be needed if the -25 dB attenuation level is still overloading the mic input or if more headroom is desired.

Q: 4. Can this be used with a 3.5mm or 1/8 in extension? If so, I'd want that on the line level side right?

A: I don't think it matters which side, there is an attenuator in hot wire in the circuit, personally I would put the side being attenuated (camera side) directly into equipment and have the full power side with the extension. Standard cable length issues apply for the extension.

Q: 5. What Weaver rings are used with this, and does it place the scope over the barrel, or off to the side? Also, how do they mount to it?

A: It is a side mount. Here are the Weaver instructions: https://www.weaveroptics.com/on/demandware.static/-/Library-Sites-HuntShootAccessoriesSharedLibrary/default/dw4bf84159/productPdfFiles/49340_350_8.5x11_INSTRUCTIONS.pdf

Q: 6. Compatible with Canon 70D and Canon T3i?

A: This cable will work with both cameras.

Q: 7. I would like to add a scope to my Marlin81-DL which is untapped only has the side mounts for the peep site. Would this work and is there any other parts I would need or would this work alone?

Q: 8. Will this work with GH4 or Sony A6400?

A: I use it for my GH4 and it works as it should. No problems

Q: 9. Is the item compatible with the Canon 6D?

A: DSLR Compatibility: The ACH4-25MON is compatible with DSLR cameras that feature a 1/8 unbalanced mic level input including: Canon: EOS Rebel T2i(550D)/T3i(600D)/T4i(650D)/T5i(700D)/SL1(100D) EOS 60D/70D/7D/6D EOS 5D MK ll/MK lll EOS 1DX/1DC/1D MK lV

Q: 10. Would this be able to hook line out of zoom H6 into mic input of another recorder (h1n or computer) for a back up recording of zoom h6? Or can you just use a regular 3.5mm aux cable? Thank you!

A: Yes, you can use the attenuator cable to connect the line out from the H6 into the mic input of another recorder. If the second recorder that is being used for the backup recording accepts line level input signal, then you can use a standard 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRS aux cable. As an example, Zoom's H1n accepts mic and line level through its 3.5mm TRS input. Just check the specs for the audio inputs on your backup recorder to be sure of what type of signal it accepts.
