Put this on a C8 and prefer it to the 1-1/4 diagonal.

I purchased an 1100 Edge-HD scope, and the stock diagonal that came with it was OK, but this is better, and worth the price. Great reviews in many pro-publications.

I bought the Celestron Starbright XLT 2-inch diagonal for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes to use with my new Celestron CPC 1100 SCT. It has the same coating on its mirror that Celestron uses for its telescope mirrors and corrector plates. It's fit and finish are excellent, and it can be used with 1.25-inch eyepieces as well. Both 1.25- and 2-inch eyepieces are held snugly with compression rings instead of the finish-marring screws used in less expensive models. It's very easy to use and holds all my eyepieces very rigidly. Simply a great diagonal at a very reasonable price! If you have a SCT, you need this diagonal!

Added to a 6 SCG as I already had a lot of 2 eyepieces. Crisp, clear optics. No vignette with the 6 scope, solid, nice case to store it in, woth the money.

The first impression when I saw this diagonal was: Wow this is a monster Diagonal !.It supports 1.25 and 2 in barrel, it comes with a alluminum case, is a must have if you are gonna use 2 in barrell eyepieces!. Ill use it all the time with my 8 SCT. Thanks to the B&H team for the great job they do!

This product alowed me to have a greater field of view but more importantly made my camera and lense solid as a rock to the scope

Just getting back into observational astronomy after a hiatus of about 20 years. I purchased my 11 inch Schmidt Cassegrain telescope in an estate sale which only came with the OTA and the tripod. I needed a diagonal and was leaning towards a two inch since I still have a nice collection Televue 2" eyepieces from the early 2000s. I did a lot of research since I've been away from the hobby for so long and this star diagonal kept popping up on top 10 lists when I googled top 2 inch diagnose for SCT''s. I decided to take the plunge just before Christmas and saw B&H had a really great price. Shipping was really fast from New York to Boston and I was observing two days after I ordered it! Keep in mind this was first light with this telescope. I've never looked through it before receiving this diagonal. To say I was excited would be an understatement. And boy it did not disappoint! My last telescope back in 2003 was a 16 inch Newtonian reflector and I had heard many times the SCTs were much darker than the large Dob I was used to. However, I was very impressed with how bright this diagonal turned out to be. Stars were razor sharp and very bright from my light polluted back yard. I was also very impressed with the solid construction of this diagonal. This is the top that has the brass insert with threaded bolt to retain the other pieces. The construction was very well done with no parts moving once the eyepiece and diagonal were in place and tightened. The threading fit the scope perfectly and it was very easy to get on and off the OTA. As an added bonus the diagonal comes with a wonderful metal carrying case with foam padding to protect your investment. Although I don't have any other diagnoses to compare this to I am very happy with my purchase and certain I will use it for years to come. Now I just need a Telrad!

If you have a SCT scope, I do recommend you upgrade the diagonal to a better one than the one included with the scope. This one is it.

This is a well-constructed accessory, which will let you use larger 2 eyepieces. It also comes with a 1.25 adapter for the smaller eyepieces. It comes in an aluminum, foam-lined case as well. One minor comment: Be aware that you may not be able to use your finder scope after you install this huge diagonal! I need to replace my finder scope on my C6-SGT telescope with an angled 90-degree one.
