Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a reason this only comes with only one handle, and why the left side (especially if you are focusing with your left hand)? The display in the store, had both handles attached.

A: The second arm is not included with the Shape kit to offer you a choice on which arm solution you would like to work with. The options are - A duplicate arm BH #SHHAND2S or BH #SHC52RH - SHAPE Remote Extension Handle with Cable for Canon C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III.

Q: 2. Will this bag fit in the overhead compartment for cary-on airline travel?

A: This bag has exterior dimensions of 23.5 x 11.5 x 13.00" which is a bit too larger for carry-on. Carry-on is normally 22 x 14 x 9".

Q: 3. Can I use this plate to attach to a Ronin 2?

A: This plate is designed to attach to the top of the Canon C500 II, C300mk III, and it should work with the Ronin 2 gimbal.

Q: 4. Is the zoom (top right) button just for focusing?

A: The blue magnifying button on the back, top right of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR Kit with Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS USM AF Lens allows you to zoom in the image during playback mode to check details of the image. It lets you check if the image was properly focused when the photo was taken. Also lets you see if there is any blur due to camera shake or if the subject moved too quickly for the shutter speed that was used.

Q: 5. Would this work with a longer lens like the Canon CN-E 18-80mm Servo? Or would I need the longer version?

A: Due to the flexible drawstring design, it should be able to stretch and cover the lens in question.

Q: 6. Are the side parts of the cage system required to use this top plate, or does the top plate mount to the camera? I wish to use the top plate, handle and monitor mount without the rest of the cage components.

A: You can use the SHAPE Top Plate for Canon C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III as a stand alone item. It does not require other parts to mount to your camera. Part number for the Shape top handle is B&H # SHLPHT

Q: 7. Will this work with the C-300 Mark III?

A: Yes, this is for both the C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III.

Q: 8. Does this fit the expansion unit with a v-mount battery attached?

A: There is some play on the rear portion that should allow for ample room, but we have not tested this application and cannot physically verify it at this time, as this is a special order item that ships directly from the manufacturer. We recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for confirmation.

Q: 9. I would like the option to see and control the C300mkiii LCD screen while under the rain cover. Can this model do that? It seems possible in the photos of the Extra-Long model.

A: No. Please review the following item that is designed and made for your unit. PortaBrace RS-C3500 Rain Slicker for Canon C100/C300/C500 Camera BH #PORSC300 • MFR #RS-C3500 https://bhpho.to/3qtS79P

Q: 10. Will a Sony NEX-EA50U with a Sony 18 - 200 lens and lens hood fit in this case?

A: Yes, the Sony NEX-EA50UH Camcorder with 18-200mm Servo Zoom Lens can be transported with the Porta Brace Digital Video Organizer Case, but it would be a close fit overall.

I bought this primarily for video and it doesn't disappoint. videos shot on the 5D with canon lenses are spectacular and the workflow is now much more streamlined into using Avid Media Composer. The one thing I miss from the Mark II that was added on the Mark III is adjustable timecode. but that alone was not worth the extra $1000 + of the newer model.

Love love love this camera. I had a rebel T2i and then upgraded to this and this is by far the easiest and most sharpest camera ever! Deff worth every penny!

I was skeptical at the thought of L series glass for the price difference between the body only and kit. It's a GREAT lens. The IS makes up for the speed, it's sharp and the color is gorgeous.

I really wanted to go full frame, so I upgraded from the 60D. With the 5dmkiii and the 6D out, I could pass up the opportunity (with Christmas sales) to do it. I tell you what. I have not regretted it. I also want to go with a camera system that was weather sealed. The 24-105mm lens is amazing! As a reminder, not all L lenses are weather sealed. If this is important to you, make sure to check.

I LOVE this camera! I went from the T2i to this and it is absolutely fantastic. Like many others I debated between the Mark II and the Mark III but for the price difference and what it offers, the Mark III just wasn't worth the extra money for me since it's improvements don't really matter to me. This camera offers excellent picture quality and is now even a great price! The only thing (which I mentioned in the cons) that I've found is harder to use than on the T2i is if I'm manually trying to adjust the exposure but I understand that since there are more features on the Mark II and only so many buttons.

I'm a photographer for my church, and the lighting is low in the church. This camera makes it much easier to shoot because of the low noise with the high ISO. I look forward to shooting in other low light situations.

Upgrading from rebel t2i, so of course it's amazing in comparison :) I am a startup wedding photographer and use this camera with a sigma 24-70 lens. I keep my rebel as my secondary camera with a wide angle fish eye for those fun party shots. Overall, I am very happy with the canon 5d mark ii. The only thing I might complain about is the shutter is much louder than I'm used to. Minor detail though.
