The cocoa Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and cH-style 4-pin Connector for Audio Technica Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a cH-style 4-pin connector for direct connection to Audio Technica ATW-T5201 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this microphone connect to the Zoom H1n? If so, how would it?

A: Technically you can, but it's kind of a long walk. You would need to connect the mic to a Phantom Power Supply, and then to the H1. You may want to consider a self-powered mic (one AA battery) and the correct cable: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1171344-REG/senal_mc24_el_professional_shotgun_microphone.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1221867-REG/kopul_xrsm_015b_xrsm_3_pin_xlr_female.html

Q: 2. What type of short cable is needed to connect it to a XLR female port on the camera? XLR male to XLR male?

A: The Audio Technica AT875 has a male XLR output, as do all mics with XLR. To connect to a cameras XLR input of similar XLR input device, you will need an XLR male to XLR female cable.Kopul 3000 series cables are a solid choice. a href= http://bhpho.to/1xdCvjQ target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1xdCvjQ/a

Q: 3. WILL THE Audio-Technica ATR4650 Omnidirectional Condenser Computer Microphone WORK ON PERSONAL DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER?

A: Yes, provided the recorder has a mic input.

Q: 4. Can I connect Sony ECM 88BC ?

A: The Sony ECM 88BC is specifically wired for Sony transmitters. Not compatible with Audio Technica wireless products.

Q: 5. does the Lav Mic come with a windscreen?

A: It does but it's real thin. I'd recommend doubling them up or getting a pack of thicket ones.

Q: 6. AT875r vs AT897? The price is close, so I'm not sure. I'd like to use it to achieve good sound with my video, as well as doing some pure audio interviews.

A: If you are concerned about the mic extending into the frame of the shot (on-camera mount) - go with the AT875. It is 4 shorter than the AT897. But the AT897 is the superior product in terms of frequency response, Maximum Input Sound Level (SPL) and rejection of ambient sound from the sides and rear.

Q: 7. Will the AT875R work on a Panasonic Lumix GH4? Does it plug directly in or do I need a pre amp?

A: The Audio-Technica AT875R Short Shotgun Microphone requires phantom power to operate, which is not provided directly from the 3.5mm external microphone input on the Panasonic Lumix GH4 Mirrorless Camera. To use these two components together, a device that provides a phantom-powered XLR input preamp and converts the signal to a 3.5mm microphone output is required. Q: 8. would this mic be compatible with the canon XA-25...and if so would I need any other accesories to fit?

A: Yes. Be sure phantom power is on. You may need a spacer for it to fit nicely in the XA25's mic holder. I use a rubber pipe spacer from a bicycle light handlebar mount. O-rings will work, too. If you are shooting outside, be sure to get a fuzzy.
