The tan B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Low Sensitivity, with Hardwired TA4F Connector for Shure Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is ideal for use as a head mic in theater. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Shure AD1, ADX1, AXT100TA4F, GLXD1, PGXD1, QLXD1, and ULXD1 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a drop in charger for the belt pack transmitters

A: Yes. The transmitter includes two standard alkaline AA batteries, but can also be powered using the optional Shure SB903 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery for SLX-D Transmitters (B&H # SHSB903). To charge the SB903 battery while inside the transmitter, you can use the Shure SBC203 Dual-Docking Recharging Station for SB903 Batteries & SLX-D Transmitters (B&H # SHSBC203US) which accommodates two SLX-D transmitters or an individual SB903 battery can be charged with the Shure SBC10-903 Single-Battery Charger for SB903 Battery (B&H # SHSBC10903US). Standard rechargeable AA batteries can be used with the SLX-D transmitter, but, can not be charged with either the SBC203 or SBC10-903 chargers or while they are inside the transmitter.

Q: 3. What is the inside diameter of this screen?

A: Unfortunately Shure has not provided a spec for the internal diameter of the Shure Foam Windscreen for DL4 and DH5 DuraPlex Microphones.

Q: 4. What's the best mic stand to use for this? Ceiling mount isn't feasible right now. Also, would you recommend a wind screen?

A: If you want to use the Shure MX202BC on a tabletop you can use something like B&H# AUTT6220B with the stand mount hardware that is included with the microphone.

Q: 5. What is difrent Plate-Mount Preamp and In-Line Preamp? Whit photo please.

A: The Shure MX202BC - Microphone with In-Line Preamp (Black), BH # SHMX202BC, includes a stand adapter. The Shure MX202BP/C - Mic with Plate Mount (BH # SHMX202BPC) includes a plate mounted pre-amplifier an plate mounting hardware. Q: 6. Is there an on/off switch?

A: This mic does not have an on/off switch, and it requires phantom power, so it would be connected to a mixing board or a phantom power supply. A Hosa Technology In-Line XLR Barrel Microphone On/Off Switch, BH #HOMOOS can be used to control the power to the microphone if needed.

Q: 7. How high is the build quality of this product?

A: This is really good system for the price point, however you might want to upgrade the microphone depending on the application is being used for.

Q: 8. Is the on/off switch on the transmitter silent? ie: Muting

A: It would not function as a mute switch. It would simply turn the transmitter on or off.

Q: 9. Will this work well with a Zoom H4n recorder?

A: Yes it will. Be sure to turn off the recorder's 48V phantom power.

Q: 10. can you use these wired with a 3.5mm jack? Description says so but want to check

A: Yes, the Shure AONIC 40 Noise-Canceling Wireless Over-Ear Headphones can be used wired with a 3.5mm cable. A cable is included in the box.
