Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is Kase KW-MCPL-77 filter compatible with Manfrotto magnetic adapters?

A: It will not fit the Manfrotto magnetic ring but that is okay since the Kase Wolverine Magnetic Circular Polarizer comes with it's own magnetic adapter in the box.

Q: 2. I purchased this filter as part of a Kase kit. It appears to be one piece of glass. It was always my understanding that polarizers were two piece of glass with one rotating and giving you ability to dial in polarization. How does this work with only one piece of glass?

A: The front element of a circular polarizer contains the foil that does the polarization, and the secondary element is sometimes simply a quarter wave plate (which aids in turning the now linearly polarized light back into circularly polarized light) or simply a mounting element/frame. In this case, the Kase Wolverine CPL will spin on its magnetic filter holder and doesn't employ a quarter wave plate or mounting frame.

Q: 3. Can this filter be used with sonya7iv and a7Rv?

A: The Kase Wolverine 82mm IR 720 Infrared Filter with Magnetic Adapter Ring can be used with the Sony a7iv and a7Rv if the filter size of the mounted lens is 82mm.

Q: 4. What is the difference between the Kase Wolverine v.s. Skyeye setup? they seem to be exactly the same but with a huge price difference.

A: The Skyeye filters are a budget line of Kase filters that mirrors their more expensive Wolverine line of filters.

Q: 5. Will the Wolverine Circular Polarizer work on a Kase Skyeye magnetic adapter?

A: No, Kase Skyeye Magnetic Adapter (82mm) are not compatible with kase wolverine magnetic filters series. The Kase Wolverine Magnetic Circular Polarizer Filter already comes with its magnetic ring. If you need a step up ring you will need Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters.

Q: 6. Do these work with the Xume system? Those seem discontinued?

A: The Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filter Adapter Ring has not been tested specifically with the Xume filter system, so the results may vary when using them together.

Q: 7. How do you adjust the Polarizer when is attached to the magnetic strip?

A: The rotating ring is separate from the magnetized ring that holds it in place.

Q: 8. Will this work for any filter

A: No, Is not compatible with any filter. Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filter Adapter Ring (82mm) is designed for Magnetic non-threaded steel filter rings. Most brands use aluminum or brass on their filter rings which are non-magnetic materials.

Q: 9. Do they work with the Kase Revolution filters?

A: Yes, the Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filter Adapter Ring (77mm) is compatible with the Kase KW Revolution Magnetic Filter System.

Q: 10. will these accept any magnetic lens caps (sensei/Haida/etc) or are they specific to Case?

A: The Kase Skyeye Magnetic Circular Polarizer Filter with Magnetic Adapter Ring (82mm) is only compatible with the Kase 82mm Skyeye Magnetic Lens Cap.

I have the 112 mm Case magnetic ND filter set with polarizer, which I bought for my Nikkor 14-24 2.8 zoom. That set is awesome, but it isn't cheap, and it is WAY too big for my other lenses. This adapter allows me to painlessly use my filters on my other zooms. Well-made, nice looking, and I find that being able to add or change these filters instantly to any of my lenses has made me use them MUCH more often.

I love the kase filters so it was a no brainer to get the adapter ring for my 77mm filters.

Fits perfectly on my Batis 85mm lens. I just leave it on there with a Kase 82mm lens cap so I'm ready to drop whatever ND filter I need onto the adapter. Wish I'd had these when I first started investing in ND filters. No more worries whether I'll be able to unscrew an ND filter from an adapter.

works as intended, and I feel like the magnet power is a bit stronger than the regular 82mm one

These filter adapters make adding or changing filters so quick, got to wonder why didn't do this sooner.
