Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Standard Gain With Detachable 2mm Cable And Ta3f Connector For Audix Wireless Transmitters (black)

The black Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and TA3F Connector for Audix Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.
The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.
The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a TA3F connector for direct connection to Audix RAD360-BP wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.
The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.
The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.
The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)
Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.
The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Could this item be used with AKG lavalier mics?
A: Not at all. It is compatible with these Audix Microphones only: ADX10, ADX40, ADX60, HT5, ADX10FL, HT2, ADX20i and Micro-D
Q: 2. Will this work with the Zoom H1n?
A: Yes
Q: 3. Does this work with Sennheiser ME-2 Microphone Mic Lavalier?
A: No. It seems to only be compatible with Audix mikes. I bought one to use with a Shure Beta 54 mic, but it doesn't work - even though they both have the mini-XLR connector, the Shure has one more pin than the Audix. The Sennheiser ME-2 has a 1/8 connector, so it wouldn't work with the Audix adapter at all.
Q: 4. If I wanted to us this with my mixpre10 II to send out of the two L,R TA3outputs to a camera 3.5mm line in ?
A: Yes it should work for your intended purpose.
Q: 5. Can this be used with condenser podium mics such as the Shure Centraverse CVG18-B/C?
A: This adapter is meant to be used with specific Audix mics utilizing a ta3f connection. This would not be compatible with standard XLR mics like the Shure CVG18-B/C.
Q: 6. How does this mic differ from the one that is included in the RodeLink Filmmaker kit? Is it better?
A: According to Rode, the only difference between the lavalier mic that is included in the RodeLink Filmmaker Kit and the separate RodeLink Lavalier mic is the locking collar. On the RodeLink Lavalier, the locking collar is removable so the mic can be used with devices that have either a locking or non-locking 3.5mm audio input. The locking collar on the mic included in the kit is not removable so the mic can only be used with devices that use a locking input. The mic capsule is identical on both mics.
Q: 7. Does this work with Rode Wireless Pro?
A: Yes, the RODE RODELink Lav Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone for RODELink Systems, is fully compatible with the RODE Wireless PRO 2-Person Clip-On Wireless Microphone System/Recorder with Lavaliers (2.4 GHz).
Q: 8. Does this work if it's plugged directly into the Atomos Ninja V?
A: No, the RODELink Lav uses a locking 3.5mm connector which attaches to a threaded 3.5mm input jack and the Atomos Ninja V has a standard (non-locking) 3.5mm mic input. Rode's Lavalier GO (B&H# ROLAVGO) is a similar mic with a non-locking 3.5mm connector that is compatible for use with the Ninja V. For additional options you may want to consider the Microphone Madness MM-ML (B&H# MIM) or MM-LAPEL-1 (B&H # MILAPEL1), Polsen PL-4 (B&H # POPL4) or PL-5 (B&H# POPL5) which are all omnidirectional lavalier mics that can be used with the Ninja V. .
Q: 9. does it work with the rode wireless go?
A: Yes, this microphone works with the Wireless Go system.
Q: 10. Can I use this mic plugged directly into my Canon 5DMKII?
A: No it will not.
