The tan B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Low Sensitivity, with Detachable 3.5mm Connector for Toa Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is ideal for use as a head mic in theater. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a 3.5mm connector for direct connection to Toa WM-370, WM-4310, WM-5320, and WM-5325 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Just curious...will a Saramonic wireless transmitter (freq 530MHz for example) work with a Sennheiser receiver set to same freq.?

A: No, you typically can not mix different brands of wireless transmitters and receivers, so you would not be able to combine a Saramonic transmitter with a Sennheiser receiver, even if both are set to the same frequency.

Q: 2. Does the receiver keep both lav mics on separate channels (so that one can easily pull and edit one mic audio on its own channel) or does it mix them up together?

A: The output mode of this wireless system can be selected to mono or stereo. When the output mode is mono, the audio from left and right channel will be mixed. When it is stereo, the left and right audio channel output will be separated. The system default is mono.

Q: 3. Can I run a total of 4 transmitters with 2 receivers into a camcorder that has 2 mic inputs, since the receivers are designed to work with 2 transmitters each?

A: Yes, you can use two Saramonic UwMic9 dual-mic wireless systems at the same time with your camcorder by connecting the output of each dual-channel receiver to a separate mic input on the camera. This will allow you to use four transmitters simultaneously.

Q: 4. The description says it hass wireless capability, and it doesn't as is. You have to buy that separately, do you sell the Wireless tuner: WTU-3800 series, WTU-4800 series and also the Wireless microphone: WM-3220 series, WM-3310 series, WM-4200 series, WM-4300 series ?

A: B&H does not offer these optional wireless components.

Q: 5. Can this receiver transmit sound via the Sony Multi-interface shoe - by chance? Guessing not, but worth a try!

A: So I just bought this set, I use the Sony A7Riii. I just bought the K2M XLR adapter and I plug in the receiver into that. When I do that, it works just fine. Great buy!

Q: 6. Can you tell me which is the transmitters version that you sell on B&H?

A: These are the USA legal versions.

Q: 7. What microphone is the equivalent for this set? I have two mics from this kit that I need to replace.

A: The Saramonic SR-UM10-M1 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Plug (B&H # SASRUM10M1) is a replacement for the original microphone that is included with the Saramonic UwMic9 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System. You can also use the Rode RODELink Lav Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone for RODELink Systems (B&H # ROLINKLAV), the Senal OLM-2 Lavalier Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser EW & Senal AWS-2000 Series (B&H # SEOLM2), or the Sennheiser ME 2-II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector (B&H # SEME2II). Any of the lavalier microphones with a locking 3.5mm TRS male connector that are wired for compatibility with Sennheiser transmitters can also be used with the Saramonic TX9 Digital UHF Wireless Bodypack Transmitter.

Q: 8. So if I plug this receiver into a zoom f8 will it come up as a stereo track with the left and right mixed or independent? And if i activated the stereo link function on my zoom f8 would one mic then be on channel 1 and one on channel 2 (for example) on my zoom f8?

A: There are two options on the receiver. Either set the output signal to stereo or mono. If you have two mics coming it it will put them out as separated LR. If youre only using one transmitter than you might want it set to mono mix, but dont mess that up!

Q: 9. Can you use other, better lav mics with this system? If so any recommendations?

A: Yes, you can use different lavalier microphones with the Saramonic UwMic9 wireless transmitter. The transmitter uses a 3.5mm locking connector and can be used with any of the lavalier microphones that are compatible with Sennheiser wireless transmitters since the wiring for Saramonic is the same. Please note that Sony wireless microphones use the same locking connector, but the wiring is different so Sony mics are not compatible. A few examples of compatible mics are the Sennheiser ME 2-II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (B&H# SEME2II), Countryman B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Standard Sens, with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters (B&H# COB3W4BSR), Tram TR50 - Omnidirectional Lavalier Condenser Microphone (B&H# TRTR50BSETP), Countryman EMW Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Flat Frequency Response for Sennheiser Transmitters (B&H# COMEMWFBSR), and Point Source Audio Series8 CO-8WL Omnidirectional Waterproof Lavalier Microphone (B&H# POCO8WLXSEBE). Please feel free to contact us by phone or through live chat if you would like personal assistance in selecting a microphone best suited for your specific application.

Q: 10. Can the Saramonic UwMic9 work with the Sony Fx6?

A: Yes, you definitely can use the Saramonic UwMic9 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System with the Sony FX6 camera.

Seriously....if you've used the Wireless GO I this is a step up and allows for more features and ways to use it. The audio is great and for the price this unit is a steal. Does it have flaws? Sure, but the flaws are pretty common across all wireless units (drop offs at times, interference, etc...). Unless you're paying $$$$$ for high end professional audio rigs, the flaws are more how you use it and what you expect it to do. I make little to no money on my projects and do them mainly for fun and the RODE Wireless GO II is 100% unbeatable for the price, quality, and features.

Awesome mics, love the redundant recording and always on feature. Wish i could swap batteries and not sacrifice a transmitter though

I use the Rode headset to record my yoga classes and online courses. All I had to do was plug my mic into the transmitter. I plugged my receiver into my laptop and voil I was able to start recording. No set up, just plug and record. So easy, so good.

This couldn't have been easier to setup and use and my audio was dramatically improved right out of the gate (was previously using a SmartLav+ attached to my phone). I paired it with my SmartLav+ mic and the Rode TRS adapter to conceal it on a subject's lapel and it worked perfectly then recorded through my Sony A7III.

One thing to note, it is worth downloading the Rode Central app on your computer and adjusting a few settings before beginning (mainly the always record setting for internal backups and the flag buttons).

I absolutely love these. Ready to go right out of the box. They are a bit heavy to clip directly to light clothing so I ended up buying the Rode lav mic attachments.

I have the original GO and I thought it was amazing. Then this came out and they packed so many fantastic updates in this thing, I cannot believe it. The 2 microphones, recording backup on the mic pacs themselves (which has already saved me several times) flag markers, DB adjustment. Its fantastic. I love these things. Just buy it.

It just doesn't get any easier than this! Leveled up my audio game! Great clean audio, with controls right for my camera. Completely took the guesswork out of if I'm getting my audio on file with my video. Best feature, transmitters record right on the unit as a back up! Safety!
