The cocoa Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 1mm Cable and TA4F Connector for CAD Audio Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to CAD Audio WX155A wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this mic TX1600 work with the GX1610 wireless system?

A: Hi Phillip, The TX1600 will work with the GX1610.

Q: 2. What are the specs on the transmitter power supply?

A: Detailed information on the specs of the CAD GXLIEM4 Quad-Mix In-Ear Wireless Monitoring System's power supply has not been provided by the manufacturer.

Q: 3. Can a GXLIEM Single-Mix Transmitter Station send the same signal to 4 bodypack receivers all set to the same channel?

A: Yes, there is no limit to the number of receivers the CAD GXLIEM Single-Mix In-Ear Wireless Monitoring System can transmit to.

Q: 4. Are the inputs (1/4" mode, each side) stereo or mono jacks?

A: The CAD CX2 Connect II 2x2 USB Audio Interface has two separate input channels which each have an XLR-1/4" TRS combo jack. This type of input connection can be used with XLR or 1/4" connectors. Each input is mono, but you can create stereo audio by connecting microphones, instruments, or line level devices to both inputs.

Q: 5. how is this mic powered?

A: USB powered

Q: 6. Does it work as speaker?

A: No. This microphone has no speaker capabilities.

Q: 7. Would this work plugged directly into an iPhone (ios 8.2, and assuming I have the right lightning cable)?

A: The CAD U7 is designed for use with Mac or PC computers via USB only. Unfortunately at this time there is no smartphone support for this device.

Q: 8. What is the audio pickup range for this mic?

A: Hi Michaela, We don't have an exact number for that, but the sensitivity can be adjusted to pick up sources further away if needed.

Q: 9. What software--if any--do I need to record meeting audio using the microphone?

A: In order to record audio using the CAD U7 Boundary mic, you will need an audio recording software. There are many free software downloads available. We recommend Audacity which is both Mac and PC compatible, and will allow you to record, edit and export your audio files. Available free at a href= http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ target= _blank http://audacity.sourceforge.net//a

Q: 10. How long of a USB extension can be used with this and still have it be effective? 20 feet? More?

A: For best functionality, it's recommended to keep standard usb cables under 10'. If you need to have longer runs, you would need an active usb extension cable to help prevent data transmission issues, such as BH #KRCAUAMUAF25.
