The cocoa Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 1/4" Connector for Line 6 Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 1/4" connector for direct connection to Line 6 TBP06 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. I just purchased a Sescom Stereo RCA to TRRS 3.5mm Plug Line to Mic Level iPhone/iPod/iPad Summing Cables - 12 Inch (SES-IPSUMRCA12IN) Will it work being connected to a Macbook Pro (2015) headphone jack? And for recording in a DAW?

A: Hi Lest. There is a chance it will work, but it most likely will not, unless the jack "sees" the signal in the same way it does an Apple earbuds set or a headset with mic. Our IPSUM and IPHONE cables were not designed for Macbooks, but we are reviewing and will be testing and updating the line accordingly once tests are complete and we can fully advise whether cables work with Macbooks or not. Thank you!

Q: 2. Will this work sending audio from my Zoom U-24 Audio Interface into an android smartphone, iPhone or iPad?

A: Yes, this cable should be compatible for that application Hans.

Q: 3. it says 36ft in length but I received a 3ft cable when i purchased this. Do they really come in 36ft length?

A: The length of this Sescom cable is listed as 36 inches, which is 3 feet. The information for the cable length is clearly stated in the product title, description, and specs. Sescom also offers the same cable in 12" and 18" length, but 36" is the longest length available. If you need a long cable, the best option would be to use female RCA adapters such as the Pearstone RCA to RCA Female Coupler - Pair (B&H # PEPARFRF) which will allow you to attach another dual RCA cable in the length you choose. We do offer long RCA to RCA cables such as the Kopul 2 RCA Male to 2 RCA Male Stereo Audio Cable - 30 ft (B&H # KOSRC4030) or 50 ft (B&H # KOSRC4050). When used together with the adapters and a longer extension cable, the Sescom cable will still provide line to mic level summing for a mobile device.

Q: 4. is it compatible with Tascam DR-40?

A: Yes, this Sescom cable is compatible for use with the Tascam DR-40 recorder.

Q: 5. Does this work with the zoom H1?

A: This is the cable for the Zoom H1. B&H # SEL2MZMH4MON

Q: 6. This attenuator cable is -25 dB. Other cables are -35dB. What cable is more suitable for Tascam DR40, 40X ?

A: If using this to connect a DR40 into a camera, the -25db cable would be fine to ensure a strong enough level into the preamp of the camera while not overloading it.

Q: 7. Can I use this cable to connect my H4N Zoom directly into my Panasonic GH4 and have the audio sync with video? Also will the headphone connection monitor the audio of the zoom or the camera? Thanks!

A: That's pretty much what it is designed to do. It takes the headphone level output from the headphone jack of your H4N and splits it into two ends, one mic-level output (male 3.5mm) that you can plug into your camera and one headphone-level output (female 3.5mm) that you can plug in headphones to monitor. BTW, my next suggestion is not what you asked about or how the product was designed, but I prefer to have a separate sound operator who records the sound on my Zoom H4N and transmits the mic level signal over a wireless pack to my camera. In this scenario, my sound operator uses this cable to monitor on headphones from the Zoom H4N while also plugged into a lav mic transmitter.

Q: 8. Will this item convert a line level signal (from the line output of a mixer) to mic in level for video camera? I have an Si Expression 3 mixer and JVC GV-LS2 Live Streaming Camera. It is my desire to feed live mixed audio into the JVC camera for HD recording to SDXC. The internal mic of the JVC leaves much to be desired in my application. Video is great, just want to use processed audio into the MIC in of the JVC...Thanks in advance!Kevin

A: This cable features circuitry on both audio channels to match the sweet spot level of your camera's mic input. It attenuates the incoming microphone signal. The -25dB provided at the mic input is not sufficient to convert a LINE output signal to the mic signal required by your camera.

Q: 9. what is the warranty period on this earbuds?

A: This product has a two year, limited manufacturer's warranty.

Q: 10. how do the se535 compare to the se215 earphones?

A: To me the se535 is the best sounding earbud I have ever used. I listen to my music at no less than 44k and up to 192k. I get the fullness and quality of sound better than I ever have. Unfortunately everyone is different. Some people claim to not hear the difference between an MP3 and HD music. So if that's the case you probably wouldn't notice the difference in the earbuds either. For me though I highly recommend the se535. Good luck.
