The cocoa Countryman E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 1mm Cable and 3.5mm Locking Connector for Azden Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Azden older 10BT and 41BT wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does this compare to Azden's WLX-PRO, which is $50 cheaper? This one definitely looks nicer to me, but I don't see any additional features or mention of higher quality.

A: This is a digital system and is superior in every respect.

Q: 2. Does this have a 3.5 mm output? What would be the best adapter to go from that to XLR Male?

A: Mic Output: 1/8 (3.5 mm) dual-mono/stereoHeadphone Output: 1/8 (3.5 mm) stereo Adapter: Kopul XLR Male to Mini Female Adapter B&H # KOAXMMF

Q: 3. Can I use the transmitter with my shot gun microphone and the receiver giving me output in the Zoom H6.. so my idea is to have wireless boom for my productions. .

A: You can connect the receiver to the Zoom H6 for recording, with no problem. Using the shotgun microphone with the transmitter is a little trickier. If the microphone has a 3.5 mm mini plug connector, and is battery powered, then you can use it with the transmitter BUT, you'll need to convert the connecter to a 3.5 mm TRRS connector. You can use the included TRRS adapter (meant for use with mobile devices) for this purpose if you wish. If the shotgun mic has an XLR connector, I would not advise adapting that to connect to the transmitter, but it is possible. You'd have to use an XLR to male 3.5 mm TRS cable, and then plug that into the TRRS adapter before plugging into the transmitter. This could only conceivably work if the shotgun is battery powered. If it needs phantom power, it will not work. If your mic is XLR, you'd be better off using a system with an XLR plug-in transmitter such as our 310XT.

Q: 4. Do the Azden Pro XD mount on the camera, or you have to buy a mount?

A: They mount right onto my dslr camera

Q: 5. Can I plug the receiver into a Zoom recorder? Or do I need to plug it into a camera.

A: Yes. You can connect the output from the receiver into the input of a Zoom recorder. Audio can be recorded separately on the Zoom recorder (instead of in the camera) and then sync it with the video in post production.

Q: 6. Does this work worh D750?

A: Hello Darren. Thank you for your inquiry in regards to the SMX-30 Stereo/Mono Switchable Video Microphone. Yes, the SMX-30 is perfect for the Nikon D750. That particular DSLR is meant for filmmaking, including a 3.5mm mic jack and a headphone jack for monitoring as well. Make sure to go into the audio settings of the D750 and switch over to MANUAL mode to adjust your levels as desired depending on your application and the mic's output level.

Q: 7. Is any delay while live streaming video

A: Absolutely not, there is no delay when streaming. This is an excellent product and one that I would recommend to anyone.

Q: 8. Does it work good with instruments (violin)?

A: I’m not sure with instruments, it should. It’s working good with the speaker or preacher and really clean sound.

Q: 9. If I were to buy 16 of these for TV production, would each one be on it's own channel?

A: Hello Peter P. Thank you for your inquiry in regards to the PRO-XD 2.4GHz Digital Wireless Lavalier System. Since this system operates in the 2.4GHz (WiFi) spectrum, it's not ideal to operate that many systems at one time. The WiFi spectrum only has 14 available channels, 11 of them available in the USA. Those 11 channels also have some frequency overlap. For TV production, you're better off using a UHF system like our 310 Series wireless, which has 188 selectable frequencies. The 310LT is a perfect solution and is also a very affordable solution. Going with UHF will allow for a higher number of kits to be used in proximity without worrying about open channels/frequencies.

Q: 10. Can I run two of these as in an an interview with two people wearing Arden Pro XDs?

A: Hi Paul, my name is Dave and I work for Azden. You cannot run two transmitters into one receiver, however, it is possible to use multiple PRO-XD systems simultaneously in the same area. Using two systems at the same time should be no problem. We have done successful tests with 4 systems simultaneously; running more than that is also possible. The main limiting factor is the surrounding WiFi environment. The more crowded it is, the more difficult it will be to reliably run multiple systems. This is not unique to the PRO-XD but a limitation that applies to all digital wireless systems.Another possibility with the PRO-XD is that you can use multiple receivers with one transmitter. This could be useful in situations where youre running multiple cameras; you could hook a PRO-XD receiver up to each camera and capture identical audio from the single transmitter.
