A: Hello Peter P. Thank you for your inquiry in regards to the PRO-XD 2.4GHz Digital Wireless Lavalier System. Since this system operates in the 2.4GHz (WiFi) spectrum, it's not ideal to operate that many systems at one time. The WiFi spectrum only has 14 available channels, 11 of them available in the USA. Those 11 channels also have some frequency overlap. For TV production, you're better off using a UHF system like our 310 Series wireless, which has 188 selectable frequencies. The 310LT is a perfect solution and is also a very affordable solution. Going with UHF will allow for a higher number of kits to be used in proximity without worrying about open channels/frequencies.

Q: 3. Can I use the transmitter with my shot gun microphone and the receiver giving me output in the Zoom H6.. so my idea is to have wireless boom for my productions. .

A: You can connect the receiver to the Zoom H6 for recording, with no problem. Using the shotgun microphone with the transmitter is a little trickier. If the microphone has a 3.5 mm mini plug connector, and is battery powered, then you can use it with the transmitter BUT, you'll need to convert the connecter to a 3.5 mm TRRS connector. You can use the included TRRS adapter (meant for use with mobile devices) for this purpose if you wish. If the shotgun mic has an XLR connector, I would not advise adapting that to connect to the transmitter, but it is possible. You'd have to use an XLR to male 3.5 mm TRS cable, and then plug that into the TRRS adapter before plugging into the transmitter. This could only conceivably work if the shotgun is battery powered. If it needs phantom power, it will not work. If your mic is XLR, you'd be better off using a system with an XLR plug-in transmitter such as our 310XT.

A: Hi Paul, my name is Dave and I work for Azden. You cannot run two transmitters into one receiver, however, it is possible to use multiple PRO-XD systems simultaneously in the same area. Using two systems at the same time should be no problem. We have done successful tests with 4 systems simultaneously; running more than that is also possible. The main limiting factor is the surrounding WiFi environment. The more crowded it is, the more difficult it will be to reliably run multiple systems. This is not unique to the PRO-XD but a limitation that applies to all digital wireless systems.Another possibility with the PRO-XD is that you can use multiple receivers with one transmitter. This could be useful in situations where youre running multiple cameras; you could hook a PRO-XD receiver up to each camera and capture identical audio from the single transmitter.

A: If the Rode is capable of outputting a line level signal then it will transmit. I'm not sure whether it would be in stereo however.
