The cocoa Countryman E6 Directional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 4-Pin Hirose Connector for Azden Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Azden UHF 41BT wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 4. Canon c100 - would this system work for this camera (plugging into Mic input) ?

A: Yes, this system will work with the C100 when plugged into the 3.5mm microphone input.

Q: 5. How do you remove the input sled?

A: Hi Mikala. One simply needs to pull it away from the back of the unit at the right side of the mixer, near the letter "M" of "MixPre" printed on the top rear panel of the chassis.

Q: 6. Does this lock to the battery like the audioroot cup?

A: Yes. The battery locks into the cup.

Q: 7. Does this work worh D750?

A: Hello Darren. Thank you for your inquiry in regards to the SMX-30 Stereo/Mono Switchable Video Microphone. Yes, the SMX-30 is perfect for the Nikon D750. That particular DSLR is meant for filmmaking, including a 3.5mm mic jack and a headphone jack for monitoring as well. Make sure to go into the audio settings of the D750 and switch over to MANUAL mode to adjust your levels as desired depending on your application and the mic's output level.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with the Panasonic HC-WXF1 UHD 4K camcorder & what Boom is the Best (inexpensive) set up for this mic?

A: Yes, the SMX-30 is fully compatible with the Panasonic HC-WXF1 camcorder. I don't have a recommendation for the "best" boom setup, but I'll add that any boom will work with the SMX-30 so long as it has a 1/4"-20 size male thread. If the boom you want does not have that size thread you can buy the appropriate thread adapter. Lastly, you will need to use a 3.5 mm TRS extension cable if you plan on mounting the SMX-30 at any distance from the camera.

Q: 9. Is the SMX 30 comparable in sound to the Rode Vidpro stereo? Is there adequate base?

A: I have both the Rode Vidpro and SMX 30. The Rode has a bass that is more pronounced, a little warmer. The SMX 30 base is more accurate and I can always adjust the base in post production

Q: 10. does it has background Hiss sound , when compared to rode video mic pro or plus ?

A: I have not heard any background hiss with this unit.
