The Power2000 AC-EL14 AC Adapter and DC Coupler Kit is a replacement for the Nikon EP-5A DC coupler and includes an AC adapter to enable continuous, direct power from an AC power source. This allows use of a camera for extended periods of time without draining the camera's battery.

This AC adapter and DC coupler kit is compatible with the Nikon D3100, D3200, D5100, P7000, P7100.

I purchased this adapter about six months ago to use in my product photo studio with a Nikon D800. As you can see attached photo the adapter is attached via velcro and bungee cords to studio camera stand. This set up works surprisingly well and saves from switching out batteries continuously. My camera is tethered to a computer and does drain the battery quickly when not using the adapter. I am very pleased with this unit. 5
