The light beige B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Standard Sens, with LEMO 4-Pin Connector for TS 316, TS 400, and TS 600 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a water-resistant, miniature lavalier microphone for capturing high-quality audio. It can be used in a variety of applications such as a tie-clip lavalier in interviews, a hair-hidden mic for drama, a water-resistant mic for water sports and hurricane reporting, or simply a small mic to hide in a prop flower vase.

The B3 capsule is resistant to moisture (IP67), which allows for placement in the hair or on bare skin, and its omnidirectional polar pattern minimizes handling noise, wind noise, and plosives (popping). Furthermore, a variety of skin-matching colors are available. This B3's cable terminates to a LEMO 4-pin connector for direct connection to TS 316, TS 400, and TS 600 Beyerdynamic wireless bodypack transmitters Additionally, a carrying case, two cable clips, a windscreen, and three protective caps are also included.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B3 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B3 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B3 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB for wireless applications. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B3 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high-overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does this unit output 3G SDI Level A or B?

A: it's SDI level A

Q: 2. What tripod collar mount do you use for a Sigma 100-400mm contemporary lens on a Canon camera?

A: Sigma does not manufacture a tripod collar mount designed for use with the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens for Canon EF.

Q: 3. What connections does this support and what is the main difference between this and the X_Neo I?

A: This is an SDI and HDMI cross converter. It has 3G-SDI and HDMI connections. To do a comparison we will need the exact model you would like to size it up against. Feel free to email us directly at askbh@bhphotovideo.com for help with that.

Q: 4. Will this also work with the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 Art?

A: The Sigma TS-141 Tripod Socket is not compatible for use with the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 Art Lens. At this time, the Sigma TS-141 Tripod Socket is only compatible with the Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens and the Sigma 15mm f/1.4 Fisheye DG DN Art Lens.

Q: 5. I assume it would also fit the L Mount of the same lens?

A: Hi Liz! Yes, the TS-111 is compatible with the new DN-versions of the 100-400 (which have a new collar design unlike the original 100-400mm DG lenses), both the E-mount and L-mount models.

Q: 6. Is there a 1/4-20 threaded insert on the bottom?

A: Yes, the Sigma TS-141 Tripod Socket has a standard 1/4"-20 female thread on the bottom. Plus, it is Arca Swiss-compatible.

Q: 7. Can this work with checking a bad input on a video switcher? If not, what should I look for?

A: Yes, the DIGITAL FORECAST Bridge X_TS mini Can work with checking a bad input on a video switcher.

Q: 8. What's the difference between the new Sigma TS-111 Tripod Socket (MFR#ATC900) and the old model (MFR#2597ZN)?

A: Nothing different. It's the same collar. One came with the 105mm 1.4 (older one) the newer one is for the Sigma 100-400. But buying either one would work on either lens.

Q: 9. Can you download Plex on to the nas and make it a plex server?

A: Yes, you can use a QNAP NAS as a Plex server, but I would recommend a model like the QNAP TS-h886 8-Bay NAS Enclosure, B&H # QNH886D16028, rather than the QNAP TS-855X 8-Bay NAS Enclosure.

Q: 10. I see suggestions for Q-nap expansion cards, but on the back of the TS-h973AX I don't see any place to put them. Is there an ability to expand some capabilities internals or does this not support expansion cards?

A: Unfortunately, the QNAP TS-h973AX 9-Bay NAS Enclosure does not support extension cards.

I purchased this case to transport a heavy tripod (c. 35 lbs.) I use to mount a large astronomical telescope. Although I have not yet had a chance to take it on the road, I've been impressed by the quality of the construction and design. The case isn't cheap, but I don't expect that I'll ever need to replace it.
