The cocoa B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sensitivity, with Hardwired 3.5mm Locking Connector for Senal Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is the least sensitive mic and a good choice for instrument applications, opera, or where the microphone will be positioned very near the mouth. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Senal AWS-2000T wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is Wireless range in and outdoors?

A: The Sennheiser XSW system will give you about 75 to 100 feet operational distance. Line of sight.

Q: 2. Can a standard non-locking 3.5mm cable plug in to this transmitter belt pack to connect a computer or phone audio out?

A: No, the Sennheiser SK-XSW Bodypack Transmitter that is included with the Sennheiser XSW2-CI1 Rackmount Wireless Omni Earset Microphone System requires a locking 3.5mm TRS connector. A standard non-locking connector will not stay connected to the input. The transmitter accepts mic level and instrument level signal. It is not intended for use with line level signal.

Q: 3. Is there a separate XLR out for each channel?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EM-XSW 1 Dual-Channel Stationary Receiver has separate XLR and 1/4" outputs for each channel.

Q: 4. which frequency set is better? and what are the applications of each: A, A1, G?

A: In general, all of the frequency ranges offered for the Sennheiser EW 100 G4-ME2 Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System can be considered equal. One becomes better than the others when assessing factors such as location and other wireless systems existing and operating in the same environment. For instance, some cities have more open channels on a specific range than others. If this system is being integrated into a scenario with other wireless microphones, the existing frequency ranges of those microphones should also be taken into consideration when choosing a frequency for the Sennheiser. This system has 1,680 potential frequencies on each range and the ability to scan for the cleanest channel based on location, so it is hard to go wrong with any range.

Q: 5. Will this work with any app on the phone or does it require a specific app?

A: The Movo Photo EDGE-DI can be used with the iPhone's native camera app as well as any other iOS apps that work with an external microphone.

Q: 6. The default sensitivity is -30. Is it recommended to put it higher to -15 or is -30 good? I am recording educational lectures in a studio space.

A: I would recommend doing a test recording with the mic starting off with the default sensitivity setting. Experiment with the settings as well as the positioning of the mic to find the combination that works best for you. When you do the test recordings, you can say which setting you are using for the sensitivity level and where the mic is placed. Just speak and record, and that way you can easily listen back and compare the audio clips without having to remember how everything was set up.

Q: 7. Is the on/off switch on the transmitter silent? ie: Muting

A: It would not function as a mute switch. It would simply turn the transmitter on or off.

Q: 8. Is the on/off switch on the transmitter silent? ie: muting. Thank you!

A: Silent

Q: 9. Can this pair with the previous UwMic9 model?

A: No, components from the Saramonic UwMic9S KIT2 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System cannot be used together with components from the original UwMic9 series. The UwMic9S series is not backwards. However, the two separate systems can be used simultaneously.

Q: 10. Will this power a DPA 4060 lav mic?

A: Yes the Saramonic UwMic9 will power a DPA 4060.
