A: Yes, Elinchrom makes three different speedrings which will allow their range of softboxes to be used with the Bowens mount that is used on the the Westcott FJ400 400Ws Strobe with AC/DC Battery. I've always considered myself a natural light shooter as a way to state that I don't mess with artificial lighting. Because the current temperature is so cold, I've had clients increasingly request indoor sessions. In order to accommodate them I decided to get a strobe. After much research, this seemed to be the best choice for many so I took the chance.

This thing is POWERFUL!!! It has opened up a whole new world and has given me a new reason to enjoy photography. I pair this with the Wescott 7' umbrellas (3 pack) anUploadd the rapid box that comes with it. Images are beautiful and SHARP!

The backpack is of premium quality! I wasn't expecting much and was just content with a free backpack but this thing is the best quality photography backpack I've owned. I've had a few and this is top tier.

I can't recommend it enough. When I get money I will buy a second one. Do yourself a favor and buy it!!!

These are fantastic lights and they really work well if you have a compatible camera for their designated TTL/remote trigger. My Fuji GFX 100s works with these in HSS if I trigger them with a speedlight set to manual and HSS modes. Just wanted to share that workaround!

I'm anything BUT an expert on this type of unit. I've only used it once, but it WAS easy to setup and use, and it performed great. I was able to trigger it with my Canon trigger, which made it even easier. I know the Westcott trigger will also work just fine with my Canon flash as well. If you're considering other units, you may find you like them better for one reason or another. I picked this one since I saw a few comparisons between this and other units and this one fared well. But what really sold me on this was Westcott's customer support. I called them both before and after I purchased this -- a real person answered the phone and was able to answer both my pre-sale and after-purchase technical questions. And, in the one instance they couldn't (it was late in the day and their technicians had already left) someone called me back the next day, answered my questions and then gave me some additional tips on how to get the most use out of the unit. Support like that is priceless! I'll definitely consider another Westcott product the next time I need something they make.

Can honestly say, didn't know what a stop of light actually looked like until I upgraded to these. The stop thing was lost on me until I started working with these then everything snapped in to place and clicked and then everything I've been learned thus far, in regards to the math behind stops of light, just made sense when you can actually see it and put it in to practice as you adjusts through the stops.

Superb lights. Highly recommend. Heads up, these lights are in the heavy side, without a modifier. If you're looking in to getting on or a few, make sure you have sturdy stands to hold them up. I recommend sturdy c-stands to protect your investment.

You don't want your investment ruined because you put it on cheap flimsy stands that you already knew were cheap and flimsy with just a reflector on it lol.

Definitely get the Westcott FJ- X2M transmitter. Makes adjusting and trigger the light a whole lot easier. While it works with the Canon RT stuff, it's a bit of a pain.

Also, which doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere. If you using the X2M, it has a phone app that you can save your studio shoot settings, and allows you to group up to 10 groups, vs just six on the actual X2M.

If you're on the fence about getting these lights because of the price, get off the fence. They're superb lights, feature rich, and definitely worth every penny. And definitely don't forget the FJ-X2M trigger. You won't be disappointed.

Have used many studio strobe systems, Alien Bees, Indra's and now the Fj400. The Fj400 is by far the easiest system I have ever used. No cords, no carrying battery packs. Being able to change everything from my camera is a great feature and time saver. I also like that when I change my main light the second light changes too so that I don't need to reset every time. Overall an awesome system!
