The tan B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sensitivity, with Hardwired 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.
This version is the least sensitive mic and a good choice for instrument applications, opera, or where the microphone will be positioned very near the mouth. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Sennheiser SK 2020-D wireless bodypack transmitters.
Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.
The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.
The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.
Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.
Very low, mic near user's mouth.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Does this work with the Sennheiser Evolution Wireless Digital EW-D 835?
A: No, the Sennheiser SpeechLine Digital Wireless SL Bodypack DW-4-US Wireless Transmitter is not compatible for use with the Sennheiser EW-D EM Digital Wireless Receiver that is included with the Sennheiser EW-D 835-S SET Digital Wireless Handheld Microphone System. The SpeechLine Transmitter is compatible with SpeechLine series receivers such as the Sennheiser SpeechLine Digital Wireless SL Rack Receiver DW-4-US (B&H # SESLRR). The compatible bodypack transmitter for the Sennheiser EW-D ME4 SET Digital Wireless Cardioid Lavalier Microphone System is the Sennheiser EW-D SK Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter. For example, B&H # SEEWDSKQ16 is the compatible transmitter for the Sennheiser EW-D EM Digital Wireless Receiver that operates on the Q1-6: 470 to 526 MHz frequency band.
Q: 2. Can the system be used with a zoom recorder?
A: Yes. Absolutely. I recommend using the XLR output connector to go into the Zoom .
Q: 3. When choosing the 112G4 lava mic how do I know what frequency range to choose?
A: The Sennheiser ew 112P G4 Camera Mount Wireless Microphone System with ME 2-II Lavalier Mic will come with 1680 Tunable Frequencies Across 42 MHz, so you will find plenty of open frequencies in any of the three blocks available. To help select an appropriate operating frequency range, the Sennheiser website offers a tool called the Frequency Finder. (Found here: http://bit.ly/2FrbS7v). This tool will show you which frequencies are open in your geographical area.
Q: 4. I got the dual person. It came with two XS Wireless packs. They both had the same frequency. How to chance one to a different frequency?
A: Changing frequency on the Sennheiser XSW 1 DUAL 2-Person Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System Kit can be initiated on the EM-XSW 1 Dual-Channel Stationary Receiver. First, press the Up/Down button on the specific receiver module you would like to change and select "Scan". Press the "Set" button next to activate this function, where the receiver will select an open channel. Next, power on your correlating transmitter and press the "Sync" button until the receiver's display flashes "SYNC". Finally, press the "Sync" button on the receiver to transfer the selected frequency to the transmitter. This process is described in further detail on page 11 of the system manual linked here: https://bhpho.to/3qHYANh
Q: 5. Are there other frequency range units available?
A: I'm sorry, but that system is only available within one frequency range. For more available ranges, I would recommend considering the more professional EW 100 G4 systems, like these: https://bhpho.to/3a3qpaM
Q: 6. Will it work with a Countryman E6 earset microphone?
A: Yes, the Sennheiser SpeechLine Digital Wireless SL Lavalier Set can be used with a Countryman E6 Earset Microphone instead of the included lavalier mic, as long as you use an E6 with the correct connector for compatibility with the Sennheiser SpeechLine Digital Wireless SL Bodypack DW-4-US Wireless Transmitter. For example, the Countryman E6 Directional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters - Light Beige (B&H # COE6DW5L2S6) is a compatible option for the E6 that will work with the Sennheiser transmitter.
Q: 7. Is it working with 220v?
A: The Sennheiser EW 500 G4-MKE2 Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System can run on 100-240 VAC.
Q: 8. how many transmitters could i use with 1 receiver ?
A: This is a single receiver system that works with only one transmitter. If you require additional mics, then you would use full systems for each mic set to different frequencies.
Q: 9. Can a standard non-locking 3.5mm cable plug in to this transmitter belt pack to connect a computer or phone audio out?
A: No, the Sennheiser SK-XSW Bodypack Transmitter that is included with the Sennheiser XSW2-CI1 Rackmount Wireless Omni Earset Microphone System requires a locking 3.5mm TRS connector. A standard non-locking connector will not stay connected to the input. The transmitter accepts mic level and instrument level signal. It is not intended for use with line level signal.
Q: 10. The default sensitivity is -30. Is it recommended to put it higher to -15 or is -30 good? I am recording educational lectures in a studio space.
A: I would recommend doing a test recording with the mic starting off with the default sensitivity setting. Experiment with the settings as well as the positioning of the mic to find the combination that works best for you. When you do the test recordings, you can say which setting you are using for the sensitivity level and where the mic is placed. Just speak and record, and that way you can easily listen back and compare the audio clips without having to remember how everything was set up.
