The white B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sensitivity, with Hardwired LEMO 4-Pin Connector for Beyerdynamic Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is the least sensitive mic and a good choice for instrument applications, opera, or where the microphone will be positioned very near the mouth. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a LEMO 4-pin connector for direct connection to Beyerdynamic TS 316, TS 400, and TS 600 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can these be use a single person video shot

A: Yes you can use just 1 transmitter with the receiver in the Rode Go II to capture 1 person talking.

Q: 2. Previous answer says these still power off after 15 min if link is lost. Does this also happen if recording on the transmitters is enabled? That would mean the local recording only saves you if the dropout is less than 15 minutes?!

A: It shuts off after 10 minutes of no link to the receiver and will stop recording upon shutdown. But it would record up until shutdown.

Q: 3. Sennheiser ME 4 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector ?

A: The Sennheiser ME 4 uses a 3.5mm locking connector while the input on the Rode Wireless GO II and original Wireless GO transmitters is a standard 3.5mm non-locking connector. The locking ring on the mic's connector may prevent the mic from making a proper connection since it is intended for use with a threaded input like those on Sennheiser wireless transmitters.

Q: 4. I would like to do a stand up interview. I will operate the camcorder myself. Will these microphones do the job?

A: Yes. Once set-up properly between your subject (s) and your camera, this system is easy to get audio to your camera; just test audio levels before beginning actual recording or streaming and set the record levels on the camera conservatively.

Q: 5. What is the maximum amount of systems that can be used in close proximity to one another? ie. Could we use FOUR 2-ch systems to capture 8 talent lavs simultaneously? Is there a limit to how many channels the 2.4gHz can use at once?

A: The max Systems per Setup recommended is up to 4 dual channel systems, so you can have up to 8 people recording simultaneously.

Q: 6. Can I use the lav mic but also use a deity mic on top of my camera? To use 2 different mics

A: Yes, it would be possible to use the Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System/Recorder Kit alongside another microphone connected to a camera, but how the microphones are connected depends on the camera's options for audio input. A small camera mixer such as the Beachtek DXA-MICRO-PRO Active XLR Compact Adapter (BH #BEDXAMICROP) could accommodate multiple microphones of different types and send their mixed signal to the input of a DSLR camera, as an example.

Q: 7. If I plug a Rode shotgun microphone to the jack input of the transmitter, will it disable the audio backup feature?

A: No, connecting a compatible shotgun mic to the transmitter on the Rode Go II will not disable the audio recording feature.

Q: 8. I've read that the units will power off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Does this apply to both the Tx and Rx units? I would like to build this into an installation where the Rx always stays on so that mics can be turned on/off as needed. Can I keep the Rx unit powered on while plugged into power even if there are no mics on for hours or days at a time?

A: The Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder components will power off automatically after 15 minutes if they are not paired to each other. Even if the receiver is connected to a power source, if not paired, the device will power off.

Q: 9. When you adjust the gain on the receiver (in either fine or the three basic increments) is it actually adjusting the gain on the receiver, or the transmitter? Will I still experience clipping on the internal recording on the transmitter, if I adjust the gain on the receiver to an appropriate level?

A: The gain actually raises volume on receiver if you are experiencing clipping use the control app to fine tune gain adjutments on the receiver also make sure what ever device you are connecting the Rode into make sure levels are between -6 to -8

Q: 10. If wired 3.5mm will this unit work with 3rd party lav mics, specifically the: • DPA Slim 4160 • Sanken COS 11

A: This system will work with any 3.5mm microphone that does not have a locking pin. In order to use it with DPA slim 4160 you need a microdot that's both 3.5mm but also has no locking pin that is designated to a specific company.
