The 12" D.A.S. Audio ALTEA-712 is a 2000W passive point source PA speaker that’s portable, versatile, and simple to use. It can function as a main PA in a wide variety of positions, with a pair able to cover an audience up to 300.

The speaker provides 90x60° (HxV) coverage and 131 dB of peak SPL—plenty of volume for small- to mid-sized venues including corporate A/V, portable DJ, live clubs, concert halls, theatres, auditoriums, and houses of worship. The speaker requires a 2000W amplifier to power the 1" compression driver and 12” woofer, providing crisp, detailed sound with a wide frequency range from 20 kHz down to 65 Hz.

The rear panel features two NL4 speakON connectors. Made from rugged polypropylene, the trapezoidal enclosure can be used as a stage monitor, giving them added versatility. Four ergonomic handles provided easy handling, while the integrated M8 rigging points allow the speakers to be flown for permanent installations.

Q: 1. Can this speaker also be used on a speaker stand?

A: Yes, the Pyle Pro PPHP1264A 12" 2-Way 1000W Portable Bluetooth PA Speaker with Light Show can be mounted on a speaker stand.

Q: 2. This item appears when you choose "speaker switch" in the B&H search box. It appears to be a source switch. Can it be used as a speaker switch?

A: This item is actually a source selector for a singular pair of speakers or a single output. If you were looking to switch between speakers you may be interested in a monitor selector like this one BH #PRMSV2.

Q: 3. Multiple same speakers linkable?

A: No. The Pyle Pro PPHP1242B 12" 2-Way 800W Portable Bluetooth PA Speaker is intended for standalone use. It does not have any output connections to be able to link multiple speakers..

Q: 4. wma files?

A: This product cannot read and playback .wma files. Converting the .wma files to MP3 files is recommended. Follow this link to learn how to perform this conversion:http://bit.ly/1IRqwAI

Q: 5. What frequency is the UHF wireless mic receiver built in to the speaker? Am I able to use a better wireless mic with it?

A: The UHF frequency used by the wireless mic included with the American Audio APX12 GO BT Two-Way 12" 200W Battery-Powered Portable PA Speaker is not specified by the manufacturer. Other brands of wireless transmitters will not be compatible, although you could use a complete wireless system with the receiver physically connected to the speaker.

Q: 6. What's the difference between this DRM 18S cab and the SRM 1850 cab? Why is there no specific sub for the SRM215-V-Flex cabs? I want to get the latter but your Mackie sub lines are confusing.

A: There are several differences between the two models and the best option would be based on your system and the type of application you would be using the subwoofer for. The DRM18S-P is a passive subwoofer capable of handling 500W RMS and 2000W peak power from a separate power amp. The SRM1850 is an active subwoofer which has a built-in power amp capable of producing 800W RMS and 1600W peak. The frequency response range and threshold for SPL are the same for both models. The DRM18S-P can be mounted on a pole or suspended while the SRM1850 is designed to be placed on the floor or stage and should not be pole mounted or suspended. I hope this information is helpful. Q: 7. Does this speaker have rca inputs so I play my turntable

A: Yes the American Audio APX12 GO BT has a stereo RCA input.

Q: 8. Is the "wireless remote" IR, and if so, are there IR sensors on the front as well as the rear of the unit?

A: Hi, no, the wireless microphone operates on UHF radio frequencies which provides for better all around wireless connectivity. Thank you for shopping at B&H!

Q: 9. There's a IPhone plug connection for a IPhone... Can this plug be used to plug a Android phone into it also? or this is only for a IPhone

A: The iPhone input on the Pyle Pro PPHP1237UB is a standard 1/8 line input and connects with a cable from the headphone jack on any smartphone or small portable mp3 player.

Q: 10. If I buy 3 speakers will they all work off one mic?

A: The wireless mic will pair to just one speaker at a time. You can daisy-chain the speakers together using XLR cables from the link out of the first speaker to an input on the second, then the link out from the second to an input on the third. Or, you can use a wireless system that will take the link out from the first speakers and transmit to two receivers, each connected to the inputs of the 2nd and 3rd speakers. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/928359-REG/alto_stealth_wireless_stereo_system.html
